Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this K-Source Electric Heated Replacement Passenger's Side Mirror. Now, this mirror is designed to fit the 2018 to 2021 Jeep Compass, and then the 2017 Jeep Compass with the new body style, and on your screen, as you can see, I also have the original equipment number listed for you. So this is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit, so you're really not going to be able to tell that it is a replacement mirror, it's going to look like that it came with your Jeep right from the factory. And this features a durable plastic housing and it has a textured finish here, and I do wanna point out obviously that this mirror does not have the chrome trim, and also, it does not support the turn signal blind spot detection system and camera functions just so you're aware of that. This mirror does however have the power remote capability, so you can adjust the mirror's face position with the factory power controls inside of your Jeep, and it also has the heated mirror glass that will clear frost and ice and reduce fogging. Now, do keep in mind that the power remote and the heated glass capability is only possible if your Jeep is already capable of doing that.
So if your original mirror could do it, this mirror will do it as well, but it won't add that functionality to your Jeep if it doesn't already have those features. The OE grade convex glass with the first-surface plating is going to reflect clear images for you. The front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome and the convex lens provides a wide angle view that reduces blind spots. The breakaway design is going to allow this mirror to fold in if you accidentally strike something, like maybe if you were pulling into your garage and you're too close to the entrance there, if you bump that, this will fold in, so it reduces the potential for damage to the mirror or to whatever you might have accidentally struck. This is going to be an easy bolt-on, no-drill installation, it's going to use the same footprint and mounting points that you see here as the factory mirror that you're replacing, and then this is going to plug right into your Jeep's existing electrical wiring.

The passenger side view mirror for my 2002 Kia Sedona mini van arrived in perfect condition a day earlier than expected. I was concerned I could find a mirror for a vehicle 18 years old. The product was as advertised but I was more impressed with the service from etrailer.com. The supplier was a bit slow but the folks at etrailer.com kept me in the loop the entire way. It was very much appreciated as my wife was very anxious about not having the side mirror. The mirror fit and worked on the first try. Just one word of caution, there are no installation instructions with the mirror so you need to be comfortable taking a door panel off and doing the install. Kudos to Megan and the other staff that were so helpful!
Fit perfectly, fast service. My auto body guy was able to install quickly at low cost. overall more than half of it would have cost at the dealership.
My only issue is that I asked for the passenger side view mirror, for my 2012 Subaru Forrester. My vehicle, the side view mirrors also have lights on both, so oncoming drivers can get an additional signal, letting them know which way I am turning. The mirror sent does not have that. So now One mirror has it, and the other side does not. Great
My passenger side truck mirror did not stand a chance after getting too close to a tree while backing up. The replacement mirror from etrailer looks and works as great as the original.

Approximately a 25 minute installation. Great product. Arrived in less than 5 days after ordering. Pretty much a plug and play application. I need to get another push plug, because the ears on one of the inner door mounts broke, while removing it. That stuff happens. Great purchase experience. Highly recommend.
