Thule Traverse Roof Rack Installation - 2010 Volkswagen Golf

Today on our 2010 Volkswagen Golf we'll be test fitting the Thule Traverse Roof Rack System, part numbers THLB50, TH480, and THKIT1321. We'll begin our test fit by first opening up the front doors of the vehicle. We'll then use an allen wrench to loosen up and remove the black plastic covers which will allow the barbs and the clips to go up into. With this done, we'll place the front load bar onto the front of our roof. We'll then take some cleaner to clean off the roof where our protective padding is going to be. Now since there's already a hole where the clip is going to be into, you can use that as the halfway point to place your clear protective pad down. We'll then peel off our clear protective padding and carefully place it onto the roof, being careful as the underside of the protector is extremely sticky. We'll repeat these steps for both sides. With this done, we can place the front load bar onto the front of our roof.
