Rubber Tube Cover for 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers
Soft rubber (not one of the plastic caps) makes it water tight.
It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Cover the hitch opening and protect both the hitch and your legs and feet if you get to close.

etrailer Rubber Hitch Cover for 2" Trailer Hitches - Qty 1
Installation was fine with your directions, however, the 2017 Prius has different bumper/fender snap attachments than you showed on the video. Putting the bumper back into place took a little more attention than its removal to align everything together. Good product that fit as promised.
Works just fine on my 2" Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver, item #306-X7235I would highly recommend buying this item also.

Chrome Trailer Hitch Receiver Metal Tube Cover - 2"
The shaft was to short to fit my hitch when I called I was told no exchange and we do not do refunds. I guess your stuck with what you have, srry about your bad luck !!
I recently purchased two chrome trailer hitch covers and one was a little damaged. I contacted etrailer and they were very accommodating and willing to replace it at no additional charge. Very pleasant representatives to talk to, and definitely a great company to deal with. Thank you etrailer for your great service!

Curt Rubber Hitch Cover for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches
Curt trailer hitch cover quality is still very good after a years use in central Washington State. This hitch cover is keeping debris out of my receiver and stays in place. I’d buy again.
I was pleased to find a hard rubber 2.5 x 2.5 receiver cover with a 1.3 inch neck that holds the cover to the receiver with friction. I had another with a 1/4 inch neck that was gone to the never-never land in a matter of weeks. I made one from laminated rubber sheet. But I like clean design of the Curt. The neck on this cover gives a good grip and the flush fit with the outside of the receiver seems to keep water out of the receiver. The attached picture shows the cover in the OEM receiver of a GMC 2500.
