It is heavy duty and well-built. I am not disappointed at all and I get comments everyone smile from people who are used to traveling overseas asking where I got the European style hitch from. The only downside is the lack of interchangeability in the size of the ball itself but I don’t think that’s a big deal because I set it up for what I need it for and keep a vehicle vehicle for longer periods of time.

Solid, heavy as heck. Bought this model because 1) I only have 1 lightweight trailer (Malone xtralight, also purchased from etrailer at the same time) and it’s light weight. 2) I am stuffing this into an adaptor also bought from etrailer to further stuff into a receiver also purchased from etrailer. 3) All this is on the back of my 2018 Subaru Outback. Beings that it’s a Subaru it’s not going to be used to drag a huge or heavy trailer. I’ll repeat this part in my review of the adapter, buy probably from etrailer, a receiver lock that is sleeved, to be both 1/22 and 5/8 and long. That way if you don’t want this sticking way out the back (shin killer) you can use 1 lock and go all the way through receiver/ adapter/ and this ball mount. Otherwise buy you’ll need 2 locks 1 for receiver to adapter 5/8 and a second 1/22 to go through adapter into this unit. A side benefit is it’s just different. It’s not an everyday boring looking ball mount, it’s heavy duty so why not.

My Mini Cooper is lowered and this unit really helped level out the trailer I am pulling. The product is heavy and solid. I would definitely recommend this item

Heavy duty! I was a little bummed when I found out how much more difficult it was to find a half inch pin for this, but no matter. It is a tad loose inside the hitch, so there's a little rattle, but I doubt it's as noticable as I make it seem. Super classy and a welcome change from the typical draw bar style. Easy to use and haven't had any trouble towing my small trailer with motorcycle on board. Def recommend.

This part came with the trailer hitch I purchased. It was very easy to transfer the ball from my 2" hitch and voila I am now ready to haul my trailer.

Just what I needed, most receivers would not allow me to open the tail gate on my 2022 dodge ram without hitting the trailers crank used to mount and dismount the car hauler trailer, this receiver give me the extra few inches I needed and it works perfectly, I tried many local sources but they all came up too short, etrailer is the place to go for all trailer parts, they seem to know and sell exactly what you may need

For a 7,500 lb hitch, I was surprised it didn’t have a wedge support welded on where the flat iron is welded to the square tube.

I'm very glad to have gotten this hitch, in the year I've had it it's allowed me to trailer motorcycles twice and move myself, saving terrific money over renting a truck. I only wish I had ordered it sooner. Installation wasn't terribly difficult, though breaking loose the bolts where the hitch installs would likely have been quite unpleasant if I didn't have an 18" wrench handle.

Great purchase experience. eTrailer has this convenient package of ball and hitch already torqued together, AND includes a locking pin in addition to the normal cotter pin! Website is clear on details of package, contents, and dimensions of each component. Shipping was fast and packaged well. I've used the hitch a few times and I can tell it's built well. I'm confident this might be the last hitch I'll have to buy. It's durable, has adjustable height and I can use my weight distributing hitch with it. It covers all bases and also has a dampening system.
