Most Popular Swagman for 2020 Acura MDX

What a great carrier and priced right! Easy to assemble and works perfectly for the two bikes I intended to use it with, my mountain bike and my wife's girls cruiser. Both bikes were just too heavy to keep lifting into my MDX, so I installed a Curt hitch and coupled with this rack, it is now a pitch of cake to hit the road. I recommend to watch the video and you'll be sold too!

The whole experience is worth 5 out of 5 Stars! Everyone I spoke with at E-Trailer was very helpful and the product that was recommended fits fine and is a good value. There is only one thing about the Swagman XC bike rack that I'm not happy with and that is the ratchet locking on the clamp down arms. The release mechanism is hard to activate so if someone with out strong hands - like my wife for example - tried to release the arms to remove the bikes they would have lots of trouble. Swagman may want to consider changing this locking mechanism to a hand wheel so strong hands aren't required for release. I'm enclosing photos of the rack installed on my 2005 Acura MDX.

Solid unit; fairly easy to put together. Placing 4 bikes (2 adults, 2 kids) on rack is tight, but workable with adjustments to wheel hoops.

I was sent additional mounting materials that don't correspond with my hitch or my bike rack. See the photo below. Are these materials for my Swagman STC2 Bike Rack Item #S64670?

Very stable and simple to use bike rack that works great with my road bike AND with my 29" Big Rippers. It makes loading and unloading the bikes a snap and they are safe and secure for traveling once loaded and secured. I have already logged over a thousand miles hauling bicycles with this rack and highly recommend it. I am a big fan of Yakima roof racks but, honestly, wish I would have went with this setup for my bikes from the beginning.
