Easy to use , great conversion !!!

My trailer hauls amazing. No lurching, stops are smooth, looks amazing and no ugly receiver. I did receive this hitch with the locking pin installed 180 degrees off. So it would not lower on to my ball. I quickly removed it and rotated it so that the slot was facing appropriately. I don’t think this is a reason to rate this anything less than a 5 star. Happy customer and will always use them!

Congratulations to the person packaging the hitch, very well done. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is related to the hitch itself not Etrailer. The air connection is in an awkward position. you have to lay on your back in the bed of the pickup to get at it and then a standard air wouldn't work. I put an extention on it to solve the problem.

Invoices were confusing. They said I was getting two Gen Y hitches? Then when it actually came down to tracking it appeared I was getting the wrong one. Afte a few emails and phone calls, Will did get that cleared up. Then they shipped my chains to someone else and I got their package, an awning support bracket of some sort. Again a few emails and phone calls Will did get this cleared up as well and shipped the chains to me, but I had to make a trip to the UPS shipper to get the awning support back to them. Real roller coaster...

William was great. The actual sales part of this was beyond excellent I received my Gen-y in only a couple of days and my son and I easily installed the hitch on the trailer in less than an hour and a half. We used a floor jack to support it after we hitched it to the goofball in the truck and then backed up into the trailer pocket and then used the hydraulic jacks on the trailer to get it in perfect position and bolted it down.

I bought this adapter again because I had one on a previous trailer - and it worked great. I like that it screws on rather than only bolting on. Then I really know it's secure.

The 5th wheel trailer coupler adapter works very well. It's strong, solid, and we'll made. Highly recommend!

Comes as Raw metal. Buy a couple cans of primer and paint. Welds on this are very nice and heavy duty. Shipping was very fast ordered Friday and was here Monday afternoon.

This may be a compatibility issue between manufacturers, but why is the front of the hitch pin plate not centered with the trailer center

The Reese Goose box (94920) arrived earlier than promised when I ordered it from etrailer.com. It was brand new in a sealed box. I mention this because many vendors like to pass around "returned" items as new so I'm very happy it arrived in "new" condition sealed in the manufacturer's container and not a torn/opened and resealed box. I had contacted etrailer.com customer support prior to placing the order to make sure I was getting the right equipment for my specific situation, as well as to consider any alternatives. They were extremely helpful and seemed to provide one-on-one support through the shopping, ordering, and shipping phases. The hitch has not been installed on the 5th wheel yet, but I will update this review after it's been in use for a few months so this review reflects how well the product performs and how it holds up.

AMY I love the Reese goose box because it gives the bed of your truck back to you without having to unload that heavy hitch every time my question to you is if my camper GVW is only 15,500 why did I need a 20k goose box does Reese not make a 16k goose box for that model this is the model you guys told me to get. I have the same goose box on my other Cardinal and it's a 16k but different Lippert hitch on trailer.

I have a 2019 f250 with the 6.5' bed and didn't want a heavy, bulky fifth wheel hitch taking all the bed space up. I had the fifth wheel package already installed as well, so it didn't make sense to not use that. I about went with the ultimate hitch that Anderson offers but decided against that as I have seen many reviews where the hitch failed. I saved a bunch of cash going with this product and it is awesome. I installed it by myself in my drive way in about 2 hours start to finish. I have zero issues turning so close to a 90*. I have a headache rack on my truck and it gets within an inch or two of hitting that but not my truck. I don't have any issues with the king box hitting the bed either like some people stated. The test ride today went very well. It rode very smooth and I have plenty of bed space for my dogs and gear. I would highly suggest this product if you are on the fence like I was. I will see how this will hold up over the years but I doubt I will have any issues. The shipping effected the sheath covering over the cable, I contacted the company, sent some pictures and they will be sending me a brand new part. I love this company and the products they stand behind!!!

Shipping was fast. Experience with e trailer was good as always. Part was not so impressive. Plate where welded onto tube was not in line with the holes causing the hitch to not align with the trailer. Other than alignment hitch adapter looks and feels sturdy and robust.

Best customer service experience parts came in faster than expected and well packaged had placed the wrong order the first time and emailed the customer service to cancel order on a sunday replied right away and got me set up with the correct parts definitely my go to place from now on as a first generation farmer and having to deal with many trailers either to move cattle or equipment this is a place of business i can now trust thank you customer service department

This adapter increased my revenue by 25% as now I can haul gooseneck trailers. Highly recommend for simi's that do power only with long slide fifth wheel. I really give it a 10 star

Installed myself on 3322 Attitude 5th Wheel so far so good. It’s hard to tell if I’m getting a better ride but I have had no issues so far I feel like it’s harder to connect to gooseneck because you have to be more accurate when you back up the truck, but The hitch itself is working perfectly as described and no issues on the install either. I would purchase again since my bed is now clear of any fifth wheel hitch. It’s easy to just drop the ball in there and start pulling the gooseneck, leaving lots of room for other things in the bed.

Great replacement for the Curt Turning Point pin box! Easy to install and took a couple hours since I did it by myself. I had to purchase new 5/8” locknuts as the originals from the Curt install needed replacing. I also had to buy (4) 5/8” nuts from Tractor Supply since the Curt install had nuts welded on the front 4 bolt locations. I used the Curt 5/8” bolts and flat washers since they did not need replacing. I haven’t had a chance to get the trailer on the road yet, but see no reason why it will not pull nicely with the Gen Y gooseneck. It will be pulled with a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 6.6 Duramax and 10 speed Allison transmission.

The ride while pulling our trailer is much better. While there is still some bucking, the Gen Y hitch is much smoother. The install was fairly easy as well.

Hard to hook up you have to be right over the hitch hole with the trailer pin or it wont drop in

You can not beat etrailer by any means!! Ordered at 5:04 and at 5:08 the order was filled and I received it the second morning. Good product, fast shipping, and good prices!!

Very good quality. Welds and fit are excellent. I used this to adapt a 5thwheel. The factory pin box was the wrong style to fit my truck and hitch. This coupler adapter allowed me to use vertical adjustment to let my trailer clear the bed of my truck even when turning. As you can see I cut the coupler down to suit my needs and it seems to have worked very well. My only complaint isn’t even really aimed at the part or etrailer but at usps. etrailer shipped the part the next day and I had it within 3days. The box it came in was shredded!!! Again not really the fault of etrailer or the part but y’all might think about using better shipping containers or using a better shipping company. Also wrapping these bigger heavier parts with sharp corners in shipping Cellophane might help keep the boxes in 1 piece. Thanks!!

I bought a used trailer and wanted to replace the gooseneck coupler and redesign the frame connection. I had a number of goals in this replacement. 1) Extend radius of the frame neck. Was 73in increased to 90in. 2) Move frame connection to a lower area of tube. 3) Increase surface area frame contacts tube and add collars to tube for increased surface area for cross tube pin. 4) Convert from gooseneck to fifth wheel style connection but allow revert back if wanted. 5. Add cover over top of tube to shed water from entering tube sections. (4in PVC pipe cap with a little dremel work fits great) 6. Replace safety chains with weld on chain mounts to frame. Allow chain replacement without welding chain to frame. 7. Provide covered area for safety chains and wiring to avoid weather. After much welding and fitting the new tube and post insert are finished and painted. I am very pleased with the quality of the items from etrailer and will be placing more orders in the future for trailer parts.

Perfect for the job if you’re switching from the regular gooseneck hookup to a semi truck fifth wheel set up. Shipping was accurate & I love my adapter! Very easy to attach & real neat finish to paint it whatever color you would like to.
