It served its purpose to convert 4 connection to 7 connection to make it compatible with Toyota 7 connection set up diagram which is different than many American or other 7 point connection. Thank you E-Trailer . 5 stars and it's working just fine 1 year out from installing.

Installed and tested and seems to work perfectly. To be perfectly honest, my vehicle was NOT on the list of those that this part will fit. But I saw on another post elsewhere that someone had had success with this and I thought it was worth the gamble. I just installed this myself in about 20 minutes, thanks to a YouTube video. The dealer is quoting 70 bucks for this part plus installation which I heard can be as much as $200 more. I just did it myself in 20 minutes for $18. Thank you so much. Check out my pics.

Packaged very well and delivered when expected. No defects noted with this products condition. I have not mounted the connector on the truck yet or operationally tested it but there's nothing to lead me to believe that it wouldn't perform as advertised.

2 things. 1st@: I think there should be an option to pick tinned wire. 2nd: The ring terminal for the ground needs to be bigger.

Great product - the overall depth is a bit deep and for my specific application I had some challenges finding a good mounting point (partially due to the depth of the adapter and partly due to the lack of solid mounting surface. The product itself is sold with a flexible five/four way plug (single plug accommodates both the four and five pin) that will not easily break. The seven pin plug has a fairly stiff cover that is spring loaded. Wiring was simple too!

Love the compact size for both 7way and 5/4 way connections. Install was pretty easy. The wire instructions are for a traditional 7 way color code. Would be nice if they included a RV color code and heavy duty. But just a multi meter or cross reference with your wires manual is all that's needed. I did not give 5 stars because I did not like the 2 flimsy hook connection to attach the wire shield backing to the connector. I reinforced with some black tape because it was sperated. Also would have liked if the 5/4 way door was spring loaded just like the 7 way. I mounted my connection sideways to use gravity to help keep that flap close.

I received this product the other day and went to work installing it on my 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. This was done outdoors on a sunny 90 plus degree day on [the driveway]. Prior to buying I had read the online instructions and, more importantly, watched an installation video. The video was a huge help and the kit was very easy to install. The snap splice connectors work like a charm. I used extra zip ties I had to secure the power line in place as I routed it down the passenger side of the Jeep. Hook up to the battery terminal was easy. I did not have a circuit tester to check the individual wires to ID their function but since their colors exactly matched the video, I decided to take my chances. It worked out great. Installation of the power wire would be easier on a lift but I don’t have one installed in my driveway so it entailed crawling under the

The kit was very easy to install. It came with everything you need. Very happy that I now have working trailer lights. Thank you.

Customer service was great, I called for help connecting the 7-way and they walked me through it. Shipping could be better

I've had this in use for over a year and they don't build them like they use to. I use this on a gooseneck trailer and the piece of plastic behind the spade connector for the clearance lights and brakes has melted, allowing the spade connector to lose contact with the plug on the pickup. So the lights would cut off in the middle of the night and would have to wiggle the connection till I could fix it. I have an older Hopkins plug and never had this problem. To fix the problem I ended up putting pieces of thin copper wire behind the spade and have done it twice since the plastic melted a 2nd time and once again the trailer clearance lights would quit working. Well, my first impression of this item is it is very sturdy and will be a great addition to my trailer.

I keep forgetting to put dialectric grease in my trailer electrical plugs but these cables are easy to replace when using the terminal strip junction boxes.

Just what I needed for my home-built bike carrier. My wife rides an e-tricycle and by the time I loaded the trike and a couple of bikes on this platform, you could not see the car's taillights or blinkers. This harness worked perfectly!

I do not recommend this product. I bought this for my truck. It seems to be the nicest looking plug on the market but after the first rain, the plug was filled with water. I changed the location from the hitch to the bumper and once again the plug was filled with water after it rained. This condition will obviously lead to terminals corroding and/or wires being shorted out. I have bought a different style plug, unfortunately the same brand but hopefully I will have better luck. May be able to drill a small drain hole in the casing to allow water to escape but shouldn't have to do this on a new product.

The quality of the materials for this wire connector is very high, especially the insulation on the wires. One thing to note is the wire colors do not match the standard colors associated with this style of 7-Way plug. Definitely use a continuity tester to determine which wire goes to which blade in the plug. Other than that, this is a good product for the price.

I received a 5' cable, not a 6' one. Which really upsets me as it pretty much means I can not use the EZ Connector Pogo Trailer Cable Holder I also purchased to hold the cable up out of the way of the pivoting hitch. Other then that, the connector is molded on, so that is good.

This is very heavy duty looking connector and wires. I needed one to replace the damaged one on my Demco car hauler which is built for rental market. This looks as heavy duty as the original. Which didn't break but someone let it drag on the ground and wore half the pins off.

This part is an exact replacement to the part that failed. The failure was caused by a poor installation which allowed the rubber boot to chaff on the truck frame. As it was an exact replacement installation was straight forward although I modified the mounting bracket to prevent a reoccurrence of the problem.

Decent enough plug. It was an easy install. I would have liked to have allen screws to get a good bite, but will check the connections after a use or two.

The product arrived in a timely manner and undamaged. I have not used this 5 pole adapter yet, but the 4 pole adapter I previously bought from etrailer years ago is still working great. I have no reason to doubt that this adapter will function equally well. I appreciate the good products and customer service from Etrailer.

I needed the extra wire to run for multi-led lights mounted underneath the steps at the rear of my trailer, when in reverse trailering. This connector seems heavier-duty compared to many on the market and so far is still working well after a year or more. As with most products from etrailer, I haven't been let down yet. Here's a real special GOTCHA moment I had recently; My trailer jack stand, which I had purchased from my well-known and popular local trailer company to replace my original had rusted to pieces. I needed a replacement quickly and trusted I'd get a decent product and price as had been the norm over many years. Anyway, I purchased the new jack and wheel and brought them home to install myself. Upon taking the jack out of the bag it came in, I noticed a sticker from etrailer, yea. Before installing I went online, saw that my jack was less than half the cost I'd just paid, and realized I should have purchased the jack when I had originally shopped online at the start of this replacement process. I could have returned my over-priced items but decided I didn't have the time due to procrastination. I decided they could keep their extra profit on this purchase but I won't get fooled again and my local shop has lost my trust.

This 7 pin connector replace the original connector that came on my camper that was not connecting good. This new one snaps in much better and does not come loose. I works very well.

I like the features and build quality but should have done more research. It took three tries to get the wiring right. The product ships with 0 documentation. I downloaded a diagram off the web but misunderstood the orientation of the plug and wired it wrong twice before figuring it out. I’m old fashioned and expect instructions included. The etrailer online video did not show the inside or how to open/wire it. This is also my first attempt at trailer wiring. Work over a tarp- the parts are fiddly and you will drop a few. The connections are set up for bare wire or 0 & U shaped crimp terms.

Nice product & good value imo--it's very beefy and appears to be heavy duty---I know these are supposed to be temporary---that said this one replaced a Reese connector connector exact same style w/LEDs that was almost 17 years old before it failed--hopefully this lasts even close to that amount of time--I don't use this trailer daily usually not even weekly---so maybe with commercial trailer use this connector isn't for you..... It's my considered opinion that many of the fails are the result of a lousy install or someone disconnecting by pulling on the harness INSTEAD of grabbing the connector either way this gets an A+ from me

The Roadmaster 4 wire connector is very good quality to connect my vehicle to motorhome.

We just finished a makeover of our 1995 boat trailer. New bunks, sanded and painted but the best part of the project was the new LED lights from your company. They are so much brighter than the old incandescent bulbs that you really do feel safer driving down the road. We pulled the 20 year old wire out and replaced with new and used the 3M scotch loks to tie in. We were not sure the new style grommets would fit the old holes in the frame but they fit great. Your customer service was great, alerting me to a backordered reflector but recommended a replacement that worked fine. Patrick set up a Q&A page for me since I had questions about the best way to protect connections with dielectric grease, heat shrink and tape. Your website is one of the best with ease of navigation, complete pictures, great selection and thorough info, dimensions, etc. You guys really have your act together and also offer great value.
