Just what I needed for my home-built bike carrier. My wife rides an e-tricycle and by the time I loaded the trike and a couple of bikes on this platform, you could not see the car's taillights or blinkers. This harness worked perfectly!

Used this to rewire a 6 x 10 trailer. Inserted the wire through 3 feet of metal conduit to keep it from being damaged near the coupling. So now the only exposed wire is the ¼ inch right at the connector.

Perfect . My new Subaru hitch has a flat plate to which the dealership attaché the 4-flat. I used “2 L-brackets” to accommodate the 90 degree bend of the adapter bracket.

I recently had a receiver hitch installed on my 89 Silverado and the wiring was merely zip tied to the safety chain connection. Well that didn't sit well with me. I wanted a more permanent wiring connection point. So I purchased your 4 flat to 4 flat and 7 way plug and installed it. So far so good. The installation turned out perfect and it looks good. The test lights are a great thing as well. I couldn't be happier.

The wiring on my trailer could not reach the connector on my truck, this extension worked perfectly to connect my trailer lights.

Basic extension whip, or can cut anywhere in middle to wire to truck or to trailer. I wire my trailer connections terminasting inside the car trunk, or inside truck box under topper, not outsider under the bumper. Inside keeps it clean and out of road salt. Then use these 48 inch whips to run out the trunk lid or tailgate to trailer. When it gets damaged over time, just replace it without rewiring the end. Hard to find part number on website, but if you are reading this, youn already found it.

I installed a trailer brake kit on my Ford Ranger over a year ago, finding the misc parts and install kit with the help of the etrailer Folks. My truck was rear ended recently, smashing the 7 pin connector, that came as one part number for multiple parts, mounted through the bumper. Calling the etrailer folks, they were able to single out the part I needed without buying the entire install kit again. One five minute phone call and I'm on my way again! Very pleased!

Tough environment for these…need to keep a spare handy

I've had this in use for over a year and they don't build them like they use to. I use this on a gooseneck trailer and the piece of plastic behind the spade connector for the clearance lights and brakes has melted, allowing the spade connector to lose contact with the plug on the pickup. So the lights would cut off in the middle of the night and would have to wiggle the connection till I could fix it. I have an older Hopkins plug and never had this problem. To fix the problem I ended up putting pieces of thin copper wire behind the spade and have done it twice since the plastic melted a 2nd time and once again the trailer clearance lights would quit working. I received the product after just a few days. I had many technical questions that were answered by a competent service person. The product arrived in great shape and I had reviewed their installation video so installation went very quickly and easy. My 2011 Chevrolet Silverado is equipped with a 7 pole connection so I bought their adapter to convert to flat 4 pole connection. That an the CR-017 led worked very with first try. I also bought the trailer hitch lock at the same time. All products are very easy to use.

Worked as it should

Can't say this was earth-shattering, mind-boggling or game-changing. It's a plug, but a decent one. I used it to save the connections on my 4-to-3 wire converter. I don't like the tap connections, because they really don't make good connections and can damage those thin wires on the car; so I solder and tape connections instead.

I have now installed the following on my 2017 Wrangler: Brake light relay kit . Hopkins Towed vehicle Tail Light wiring kit. Blue Ox base plate. Blue Ox Patriot Portable RF Braking System. All of this has taken about 3 days of work spread out over a week or so. Overall it went well. Not too many surprises. Crawling around under a car at 71 is a bit of a strain but I'll get over it. I must say that Donna P. has been a wonderful source of great information and has stayed right on top of the process. eTrailer has been a great source for this project. I would recommend you all with no hesitation.

This is the second 7 pin molded plugs that I have purchased from you...The wiring is NOT standard,the color coding of the wires are inconsistent with American standards. You have to be an electrician to figure out how to wire it to the trailer. Clearly have purchased these from color blind Chinese contractors. It was a mess !

I had to replace the old 7 wire cable because the male plug had been pulled off. I chose the WH54006-043 coiled cable. I used a 1/2 inch clamp to hold the cable up at the box and a Connect-to-Protect to hold up the male plug. The result Is clean and tidy. Thank you,

This is the product I expected and it arrived in factory new condition. To no fault of etrailer.com the currier wagon train and the ox’en that pulled the load were heading East. This was not the direction they were accustomed to so it took a few extra days. All in all good job I will do more business with this company.

I wish than all trailer wiring was color coded the same. I have wired a lot of trucks ant trailers and trouble shot problems and always solved the problems. this one gave some serious thinking since the wiring was color coded different. But it is working and I do like the Pollak plug.

Perfect just what id hope for . the circuit tester was an added bonus. indicated left turn signal not working

The quality of the materials for this wire connector is very high, especially the insulation on the wires. One thing to note is the wire colors do not match the standard colors associated with this style of 7-Way plug. Definitely use a continuity tester to determine which wire goes to which blade in the plug. Other than that, this is a good product for the price.

Was what I ordered, shipping was good. Spring on cover would not hold cover down. Had to take apart and bend spring.

This adapter really cleaned up the installation and connected directly to the wiring harness. Maybe added an additional 20 mins to install this adapter but totally worth the time and money.

I like this style of plug because it is molded and is important in keeping water out of the plug. It is conveint because it has the right colored wires. I have a water tight termination box with studs that it is wired into. Once I damaged the cable so I opened up the terminal box installed eyelet lugs on the spare pigtail, and installed it in a fiew minuets. I keep a spare on hand with lugs on it so if I have an accident I can quickly replace it. I also use these on some of my smaller tow behind equipment. that's why I like this size plug it isn't real bulky.
