Dexter Zinc-Plated Straight-Tongue Coupler - 21,000 lbs
Excellent company, shipping, customer service, first of all! Love the new 2-5/16" hitch coupler! Now I don't have to flip the ball when going between my band equipment trailer (lead guitarist in a rock/blues/country band), and the boat!!! I only used 3 bolts since my old surge brake hitch coupler only utilized two of the 1/2" bolts. I drilled the trailer for the 3rd rear/lower 1/2" bolt using schedule 8 yellow zinc bolts and hardware. SOLID!!! etrailer.com for ALL your needs!!! I'll be converting and rebuilding the front axle brakes in the off-season. Already have the electro-hydraulic unit.
Of course, none of the holes lined up. So me and "Macgyver" had our work cut out for us. In saltwater my old coupler lasted 15 years till it rusted so bad I was afraid it would break apart. So this time I painted it with the same non-skid paint that's on my aluminum boat deck. Some serious stuff. But first I cleaned it thoroughly, used primer, then the no-skid paint. I step on this coupler 200+ days a year with saltwater feet. This one was a lot more HD than my old one. A bit longer and just plain nicer over all. I hope now to get 20 more years out of this VERY expensive unit...reason for 'not' 5 stars. Dang almost $XXX when all said and done? That's A LOT! I KNOW, the shipping isn't cheap, but I am. Last year all new galv. rims and tires from etrailer and what a great deal that was! So, I guess I shouldn't complain, Okay, 4.75 stars, cuz no one is perfect.

Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler - Trigger Latch - Zinc - 2" Ball - Bolt On - 3,500 lbs
I put this Coupler on a 2021 INTECH FLYER PURSUE CAMPER. The camper weighs only 1500lbs. On the first trip we headed to Maine from Massachusetts. Outside of Portland Me. we went over a small bump in the road were they were repaving the highway and the trailer came off of the ball. I pulled off the highway and and looked at the damage. All my electronic connectors were ripped off the camper when the tongue hit the pavement and it also bent the Fulton swivel jack. The Coupler was still in the locked position. I could not believe the damage. I put the trailer back on the ball and attached it with ratchet straps. We made it a few miles to a NAPA parts store. Thank God I had a tool box with me. We replace the coupler with a HEAVY DUTY Coupler from NAPA along with the electric connectors. Two hours later I was Back on the road. Before I install the new Coupler I compared it with the E Trailer one. They were night and day. DO NOT BUY THIS CHEAP COUPLER.
Great coupler. I swapped out the welded 1-7/8" (ball) coupler on the boat trailer my dad gave me as it was rusted and the latch needed to be replaced, and I already had a 2" ball mount. I considered buying a new ball mount with 1-7/8" ball for $30, but this just made more sense considering the poor condition of the original coupler and the simplification of only needing a 2" ball mount (standard size when renting U-Haul trailers for hauling landscaping dirt and rocks. Removing the welded coupler wasn't too difficult with a cutoff blade and grinding blade. Drilling the 1/2" holes took as long as cutting off the welded coupler. A definite upgrade for a better looking trailer and simplification of only needing one 2" ball mount.

Fulton Fas-Lok Coupler - 2" Ball - 3" Channel - 6,000 lbs
My old firewood trailer became uncoupled from my truck. I needed a quality replacement so I chose this one. I haven't installed it yet but it looks to be high quality.
Etrailer... I have purchased a few items thru your page and have always been pleased with the products I get from you but most of all how fast you have always shipped out even during this covid time. Hitch came out of the box and had it bolted on in less than 15 minuts. Thanks

Dexter Zinc-Plated, Leverlock Coupler - 2" Ball - 3" Channel - Bolt On - 5,000 lbs
Used this coupler to replace the aging and obsolete folding surge coupler on my dated and neglected Nautique Ramlin trailer. Deleted the surge system and this bolted up perfectly. Super easy and smooth operation for locking onto the tow ball.
Awesome coupler. Solid contact with the ball, super low profile, easy to use latch , this is exactly what I wanted as I run a bike rack above the coupler, plenty of clearance for unhitching the trailer without removing the rack.
What our customers are saying:
"These arrived yesterday and are EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thanks for the excellent service!"
