Most Popular Fixed Fifth Wheel for 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup

First time fifth wheel owner but have pulled a fifth wheel using another brand of hitch. No comparison to the B&W companion. There's no banging or play when you start and stop with the companion and you feel confident in it's capacity. Easy installation and the fact it can be removed with nothing left in the bed is a plus. Would highly recommend this hitch.

Due to the low price of this hitch I was wary of its quality, but now after 1 year of use with a 30' Jayco fifth wheel and sometimes double towing with a 3000 lb trailer behind the 5th wheel I have complete confidence in this hitch. I installed it in a 2014 Ram 2500 with Ram Boxes using a Reese Sidewinder. The only modification I had to make was shortening the release handle due to the narrow bed with the Ram Boxes. Other than that this hitch combined with the sidewinder I can turn the camper and truck just over 90 degrees with absolutely no clearance problems and without the need for a slider hitch. The only problem at first was the hitch was somewhat tight but as it wears that tightness is getting better. Overall a well made hitch for a good price.

This is the ideal hitch for my Ram 2500 MegaCab. The MegaCab does not allow for a long bed and my RamBox setup causes issues with traditional fifth wheel setups so I needed to go with the Reese Sidewinder but was looking for the ideal hitch set up for my factory prep kit. This heavy duty hitch is the perfect combination and installs easily. Most importantly when used in conjunction with the Sidewinder I can make incredibly tight turns with plenty of room to spare. etrailer support was fantastic.

I ordered the Curt Q20 hitch. The unit arrived exactly when they said it would and in excellent condition. None of the parts were missing and the instructions were well written and easy to follow. I assembled the hitch in the bed of the truck in about 1 hour. It was very easy to put together even though I had never assembled one before. Unless you have some friends to help I recommend assembly in the bed of the truck since the hitch weighs 130 lbs. assembled. All in all I am very pleased with the hitch and the purchase.

I bought this hitch just over a year ago and I have been very happy with it. I'm using it to tow an 18k lb toy hauler and it does a great job. I really like the zerk fittings for lubrication, makes it very simple to keep things working smoothly. I really can't think of a single issue that I've had with it. Great hitch and I would certainly recommend Curt products to my friends. etrailer.com was also great to deal with. I got my hitch very quickly after ordering. The only minor issue was that it did not come with pins to attach the hitch to the bed rails. Since I was replacing another hitch I already had a set and didn't worry about it. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

I was fully expecting a hitch in excess of 100 pounds to show up in a destroyed box. This did not. They had taken the Time and effort to cover the box with an additional layer of cardboard and it must have had a million staples in it. It was almost comical, you will need a crowbar or large screwdriver to get it open. However, when I did finally get the package open I found a perfectly un scratched hitch with no missing parts. I have not pulled with the hitch yet but , it does look like it is going to perform great. I'm using this in a 2006 ram 2500 4x4 short bed pulling a 2015 forest river Salem and it allows 91 degrees of turning due to the clipped corners on the front cap of the trailer. I will be curious to see how long the rubber isolators last before needing replaced and if they are readily available. Also the curt sticker on the hitch was peeling off when I took it out of the box, would be nice to get that replaced.

Mounted this hitch on my flatbed 3500 Ram and the hitch works flawlessly. Pull 44' tri-axle weighing in at 23,000# with ease. Very easy to use and understand, very easy to maintain.

I have ran a cheap competitor hitch for several years. A manufacturing defect (welded pivot pin) caused the hitch to fail and resulted in 18000$ damage to my truck and trailer. I chose the Curt 25000# hitch after much research and found it to be very well made and clearly shows when it is properly coupled. It is quiet and operates with minimal klunking and chunking going down the road. Overall I am very pleased.

The REESE RP30047, 16K double jaws locking hitch, is an excellent 5th wheel hitch. Etrailer.com is a "10" when it comes to marketing and shipping their vendor's products, Their knowledgeable follow-up, helped make my purchase a great on-line experience. It arrived when they said it would.

The product its self is good but there were no installation instructions for it so I had to find them on the net. I was a bit disappointed about that. and it says a 4 hour job, well expect a bit more time.

I have always had bumper pull RVs. This is my first 5th wheel and 5th wheel hitch. It took approx 5-1/2 hrs to install the rails, hitch, and 7-way extension on a '17 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel with Ramboxs. I love the construction and the "feel" of the hitch. Directions were easy to follow. I get the trailer in a couple days, so no comment on towing, but I am not anticipating any complications. Looking forward to using this hitch for years to come.

Love this hitch! Bought the Andersen because I wanted to be able to remove hitch easily and be able use the truck bed. It takes only a few minutes to remove from bed no tools required. I installed the bed rail kit myself in my 2019 Ram 2500 short bed. The Andersen hitch allows my 32' fifth wheel 90 degrees turning radius.

I purchased this hitch one year ago and it is very high quality. I tow a light 21 foot 5th wheel with my RAM 1500 Eco Diesel. I was able to adjust the hitch so that the trailer moved back several inches from the cab that provided better maneuverability compared to my other hitch. I was also able to adjust so that the trailer was perfectly level with the truck. The hitch provides a much tighter connection with the king pin which substantially reduces movement and noise. It was easy to assemble and etrailer did a great job with the entire purchase/shipping experience. Would highly recommend.

This 5th wheel hitch fits OEM hitch mount provisions perfectly on my 2017 Ram 3500. Connecting and disconnecting works well. This hitch is heavy for one person to manage, but a hoist set-up makes for easy installation and removal. Tows well with no play between trailer pin and truck. Great product.

Just installed my Q20 no problems at all dropped right in place I did not tighten bolts all the way until it was in place directions could have been a little more clear for the ram puck system etrailer one of the best online companies I have dealt with from customer service to getting right info to the best tracking ever Can’t say anything about the hitch yet get my RV Monday so far so good I feel confident

The hitch is great . The only problem was shipping. When the order arrived the outer box was extremely beat-up. Upon opening, the inner box was so damaged it was not reconizable...the styrofoam was in pieces and the hitch paint was scratched-up. It was treated VERY badly in shipment...I took pictures and was going to forward to you but my phone crashed and that's when I learned my cloud back-up did not include my photos. I needed the hitch immediately for a trip, so I just installed it and chalked-it up as bad luck. With all that said, I owned Reese before but the Curt just seems more substantial

Install was easy and the hitch performs perfectly. I have ZERO complaints. Even a year later, it performs great.

I haven't towed with the hitch yet and can only say that I'm very pleased with the Q25 hitch for my 2017 Ram 3500. The instructions slightly contradict the available assembly video but I was able to unbox, gather tools, assemble and install the hitch in about 45 minutes. Take note, the rear feet are larger than the forward feet, this will aide in determining the drivers side and passenger side frame. They appear identical otherwise. It dropped right in the Ram Puck slots and I only had to adjust one of the feet to make it a little tighter. I can't wait to hook it up and try it out.

Have been waiting for a 5th mount for my 2014 RAM that wasn't over priced. The price point is great and the mount is much better than I thought it would be, for quality. I was able to install it in under an hour. The manual that came with it was clear and easy to follow. I have this hitch in a 2016 2500 Ram 6.7L diesel. I am pulling a 12,000 lb 5th wheel and don't have the chatter that I had before with a different hitch. This is a very strong hitch. The only negative that I have on this hitch is that it is difficult to close the hitch jaws when the hitch is not in use. It anyone else has had the same problem and has found a cure for this please let others know what you are doing. Happy towing.

I received my hitch in the 3 days promised, myself and my wife put it together in about an hour. It went in our ram with no adjustments needed. We picked up our new 5th the same day we put the new hitch in our truck, works great and was easy to install, a little heavy but putting it in legs 1st then the hitch head was the way to go as instructed.

This hitch with the Airbourne Sidewinder worked great with the 2018 Ram 2500 Mega cab short bed with Ram boxes. Can maneuver a 90 degree turn without issue. Still have to get trailer lifted higher to get the trailer nose lowered, but for the complicated research we had on the right combo, this is tested and verified

Already pulled the rv with it. I like the design. Literally ripped open the box and put it together in a matter of minutes. The three pieces come apart fast lightening it up to remove it from the bed

I have one of these in my ram and I love it. So I hope this one will be the sam when my new truck comes.

I was happy with the transaction with etrailer. The website was very helpful in finding what I needed. The product was received ahead of the committed date. The only problem was with the packaging. Some of the boxes were pretty beat-up and the parts were scratched with the finish damaged. That was a little disappointing.
