Rack works absolutely perfect for me with my tool box mounted in truck bed. Bikes are secured tight and tailgate is closed. Can't ask for anything better!! Nice job Swagman!!

The bike rack is superb. I had to order a set of replacement straps because I did not realize that over time, vibration would cause the spokes to cut into the rubber on the straps. Now, I just make sure the straps are not rubbing against the spokes. The rack held up well from Pennsylvania to Florida and back with two bikes in it, and is easy to put on and off the trailer hitch on my Silverado pickup. I haven't used the frame adapter very often, simply because I found a workaround. But when I do use it, it works quickly, simply and as advertised.

Just received my new Bike Rack and have un-packaged it. Although I have not mounted it to my truck just yet I must sat that I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the materials and workmanship that went into the production of this bike rack. Quite honestly for the great price I was not expecting anything so well built. This bike rack will be mounted in front of my truck (2 inch front hitch), so that I can haul my 5th wheel and still take my bike with me. I feel confident that I should have no problems. Rack is very sturdy and heavy duty. Instructions were terrible. Locking hitch pin would not thread correctly and ended up damaging it. Thankfully the threads on rack were fine and I was able to use the non-locking threaded pin. Would like a replacement locking pin ASAP

For the price, it's a good-quality, sturdy bike rack. I have used it about 5-7 times with no issues. I only used it for one adult and two kids' bikes, but I am sure it can handle four bikes as advertised. It's great that the rack folds upwards when it's not required.

This product fits over the tailgate of our full size pick up. We bought this product because we wanted to take our bikes with us on our camping trips. We had a receiver bike rack but needed some way to carry our bikes securely while pulling our travel trailer. We also wanted to be able to carry our grandkids bikes. We have secured at least 5 bikes with the Swagman Tailwhip Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack. The only problem we had was that the velcro tie downs didn't fasten as tight as we would have liked. We have used additional bungie cords to keep the bikes in place. That is the reason this review did not get a 5 star. We are very happy with this product.

Great product for the price. Pretty easy to set up. Only issue I have is my mountain bike, which is an XL frame with 27 inch wheels, is pushing the limits of the base. Wish this rack was just 4-5 inches longer that way you have the perfect overlap amount in the middle without pushing the current frame to the limits. With that said it does hold my bike just have to find the sweet spot. But this fits my son’s youth bike perfectly!

As always with products I buy from e-Trailer, this item is exactly as advertised and works perfectly. Easy assembly, I bought 2 but only installed one until I check the fit with my rooftop carrier.

Works for my fat tire bike. Once it's set up, it's easy to install and remove. I had to cut out some of the plastic cladding on the underside of my bumper on my 2014 Subaru Outback. Good value. I've had no issues.
