Rear access usually means unloading bikes or working around the rack. The Pivot XD lets your rack or cargo swing out of the way, so tailgates and rear doors open fully with everything still mounted. The forged latch and pin secure the arm closed while driving, and that same pin locks the arm open at 90 or 120 degrees. Pull the pin, swing the arm aside, and the back of the vehicle is open without unloading bikes or gear.

Hey François, welcome back! Yes, the Kuat Pivot XD Heavy Duty Swing Away Hitch Extender # KU37KR is compatible with the Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH83JV. You mentioned swinging to the driver side last time, so if you would rather have that then you need # KU69HR instead.
These swing all the way out to 120º so you will be able to open the doors freely with either configuration. They also has a max load capacity of 350 lbs so if you end up switching to the EAV hybrid bikes they won't have a problem... view full answer...
