This setup is designed for serious miles. The sturdy, dependable steel construction bolts securely to the chassis and evenly spreads towing force to help minimize weight placed on the suspension. There’s no welding required, so you get a reliable hold that’s ready for cross-country trips without worrying about flex or fatigue over time.
No one wants bulky brackets sticking out. This base plate skips the external crossbar, leaving only the tabs visible for a clean, low-profile look when you’re not towing. The hidden reinforcement keeps things strong but discreet, so the front end stays neat and uncluttered.
You don’t need to be a pro to get this installed. The simple bolt-on setup mounts directly to the chassis—no welding, no extra fabrication. The kit includes all the hardware and clear instructions so you can get it done confidently with basic tools and some patience.
This base plate is compatible with all etrailer tow bars and Demco Victory Series tow bars right out of the box—no adapter needed. Running a different brand? Just choose the matching adapter like e98979 for Roadmaster Eagle, e98980 for Reese Tow Champ, e98981 for Roadmaster Falcon 5250, e98982 for Blue Ox models, e98983 for certain Roadmaster Falcon or Sterling bars, or e98984 for newer Sterling versions (each sold separately).

Keeping your tow wiring organized matters on every trip. The included electrical bracket gives you a spot to easily mount a round electrical connector plug up front so everything stays secure and ready to hook up when you’re hitting the road.

On the Tahoe 2011 you need to cut off the end of the bolt that is coming down from above in the frame horn so bar will fit, also the cut out pattern isn't the same. as illustrated. and your included blue lock tite is dried up
Well built. Fit good. Fairly easy to in stall.
Quality parts for a reasonable price, fast shipping.
Had trouble doing it online call them on the phone like we used to do it all days and it went really well very fast and very knowledgeable I will do business in the future with etrailer
Excellent service came exactly when they said it was
Had a bit of of issue with getting the front valance to fit back on car. The tow bar should have been a 1/2 to 3/4” lower to fit in the air vent opening, I may have to cut the valance itself to get it back down to where it will fit correctly, I am still playing with it
During installation we experienced some issues with part alignment between the base plate and bumper assembly causing the facia the to need trim back the facia all the way to the painted section. The hood and facia fit is tight.
love it! It's an excellent fit for our 2003 Jeep!
Great bar for the money. Instructions were fairly easy to follow but at time they did not make sense logically. In the final step lining up the grill was confusing I had to improvise to make it work.
My order arrived in a few days, was exactly what I ordered. Installed base plates with no problems. very satisfied with results.
These are quality parts that fit and function perfectly.
I installed myself! The direction we easy to follow and the unit fit my 2017 jeep unlimited perfectly. I have over 4000 tow miles since the install with no issues.

Product was super easy to install and great support from the team at e-trailer. Thanks guys!
The finished product is great! The reason for the three-star rating is because the mounting holes didn't line up with the holes on the frame of the 2004 Jeep Liberty. The host came out a quarter inch off. After drilling the third hole according to the instructions I put all three bolts in the nut plate and made sure that all three bolts will fit in the holes easily. I then got one bolt started on one side and then found out it was completely off by quarter inch on the other side. With 0 wiggle room I put all three bolts in loosely on one side and manage to use vise grips to clamp up the other side so I can drill out the holes. I was then able to get the bolts in on the other side. Aside from the fasteners for the bumper cover being different and more difficult from the directions and not being able to disconnect the wiring harness I figure it could have been worse. At least in the end nobody will know the difference. See photos. It sure was a blessing to be able to get it so quick.
This is a really good base plate for my 2011 ford fiesta. I have installed several base plates on different cars. Installing this base plate was easier than most. Watch a YouTube video I’m not good with paper directions. The only problem I had was the threads weren’t chased to clean the paint from the threads. Ford uses several different size bolts (7mm,8mm,10mm and 12mm and a universal is handy).overall I really like this base plate because it doesn’t have the removable front pins that could be stolen when not hitched up.
