Hello neighbors. Welcome back. I'm Steve with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the replacement cable lock assembly for the Yakima Holdup bike carrier that fits both the two inch and the one and a quarter inch hitches. So again, simply a nice replacement integrated lock cable that's gonna fit the Yakima Holdup hitch mounted bike carriers. It simply secures to the post of the central mast of the carrier and locks with a one same key system or SKS lock core.
Now these come from the factory pre-installed with a random core and matching set of two keys. Again, that's totally random. We have no control over what numbers they put in there, so just know that I can't guarantee you're gonna get the exact number of one you may already have. But we do sell the SKS cores separately and you can get them from etrailer.com and change them out to make everything match as needed. Now this will also fit some discontinued Yakima products such as the Holdup one and a quarter inch and the Holdup two, just the older models, the whole cable length on this guy when it's stretched out, it's six and a half feet long.
Very high density strength cable. Very, very thick. I'd say it's about almost a half inch thick, not quite maybe three eights. And it's got a nice coating on the cable, rubber coating, so it's gonna prevent corrosion wearing out and that kind of stuff. That cable cover also helps it slide whenever you pull it up through the center mast on the bike rack itself, as you can see, it's got the little peg there that matches up to the part on the bike rack whenever you're locking it.
And the nice integrated heavy duty loop, same thing that's been crimped from the factory. Nice and snug, ready to use. Folks, that's gonna do it for our look today at the replacement cable lock assembly for the Yakima Holdup Bike Carriers. I'm Steve with etrailer.com. Thank you so much for watching.

This cable lock assembly kit includes one 6-1/2' long cable to replace the integrated cable lock on Yakima HoldUp hitch-mounted bike carriers. Cable lock secures to post on the central mast of the HoldUp with one Same Key System Lock Core.An easy and GREAT way to secure our bikes to the Yakima rack! I wish the hitch pin lock that I ordered was standard issue for Yakima too. Both work GREAT!
Arrived as described...
fast shipping. awesome communication
Replacement for the one that we broke. Great lock!!
This is a great product for the Yakima Holdup. It doesn't lock to the hitch bolt well at all due to the hitch step and chain hookup on the Xterra. It is a great safetly measure to lock up the bikes while on the rack.
Great Customer Service, Exact replacement for the damaged cable
Excellent product -
NOTE other vendors were cheaper UNTIL you read fine print ' theirs didn't include the locks. Buy confidentally from etrailer.
Fits my older Holdup rack and long enough to lock up both bikes for trips into the store, etc. Regular cable lock thickness so wouldn't park with it overnight in an area with high theft rates,
Easy install and changed lock to match others on hitch and rack
I have worked with this company before. They are great. I just bought a replacement Park to a bike carrier. The price was great and so was the website

Shipping time frames across all carriers are business days, which exclude weekends and holidays. UPS is the same. Order was shipped at 9PM on Wednesday the 30th. Thursday and Friday, 131 and 2/1, are days 1 and 2. Monday the 4th would be the 3rd day which is when it was delivered at 2:30PM.
Exactly what I needed, initially a part of my order was not on hand and I was contacted by customer service and notified of a delay. The agent put me on hold to confirm availability from their warehouse and was able to expidite so the shipment was minimally delayed. Outstanding service. Everything came as described and fit into my existing system perfectly. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.
Product exactly as expected, and fast shipping. Very happy with etrailer and the Yakima lock.
Just what I needed. And since I ordered 2, the etrailer rep, Noah, was kind enough to make sure that I got 2 that were keyed alike.
Quick response from retailer! Products even arrived ahead of schedule !
Would definitely purchase from seller again : )
Exact replacement.

Perfect solution for locking my fat-tire bike

Thank you for following up! Im still very happy with the cable and lock accessories I bought. The rack itself seems to flop around a bit despite nothing being loose, but thats Yakimas issue.
