Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at our Curt Custom Base Plate Kit. This features removable arms, all the safety cables you need and all the hardware as well. Now folks, this is a custom-fit application, meaning it's gonna be custom for the specific vehicle and bolt right to the frame with ease. So make sure you're checking the Fit Guide here at etrailer.com, be sure you're getting the right parts the very first time.
So as I said, you're gonna get two safety cables here and you're also gonna get the bag of hardware that has everything you need for the installation. Now as you can see, these have been black powder-coated, so they have a superior rust protection outer coating on them. And if you've never used the Curt custom base plate kits, they're again a lot faster to install, but also using the tabs here, what they're called, removable tabs, these are twist and lock. They make it super fast and easy to hook up your tow bar, but then whenever you take them out, when you're not flat towing, you now have a flush, clean look at the front of the vehicle. So to take them out, it's really simple.
The silver tab here is spring-loaded, so you're gonna watch this tab move. You literally take it, twist it back about 90 degrees, and it literally pops back out. And that's what each side of this looks like. So it's gonna go in there, and then, of course, your tow bar would mount to this part. And then when it's time to hook up, you simply just push it back in and twist it.
It's gonna snap right into place. And then again, you're hooking your tow bar up and you're ready to go. So folks, this again is the Curt Custom Base Plate. The distance between the brackets should be 30 3/8 inches between those, and these brackets are gonna be about 15 inches off the ground.
