Westin Universal Fit Tailgate Mat # 50-6555 is made of the same material as the bed mats # 50-6385 for a 5 foot bed 2018 GMC Canyon or # 50-6395 for the 6 foot bed. I think it is just the angle and the lighting in the tail gate mat picture that makes it appear shiny. Neither the tail gate mat nor the bed mats have a gloss finish; it is more of a matte finish (pun intended).
