Video Transcript for DIY Install: Westin Custom Fit Truck Bed Mat on your 2020 Toyota Tundra

Hey everybody, how's it going. Today we're gonna be going over the Westin truck bed mat here in a 2020 Toyota Tundra crew max. So this is what our bed mat is gonna look like installed in our truck bed here. So this is actually a custom bed mat, and what that means is everything is gonna be molded and cut to specifically contour the inside shape of your bed here, so this does a couple different things. Number one, it not only makes for the best overall looking truck bed mat, it's also gonna cut down on that potential for the mat to slide around. With some of those universal ones, you can sort of get a good fit, but you do have to trim.

And this thick, heavy-duty rubber is not easy to trim. So having something that's custom made specifically for our bed, that we can just simply drop in place, it's gonna be a great feature to have. So, as we said, our truck bed mat here is gonna be made of a nice thick, heavy-duty rubber. So this is gonna do a couple different things. Number one, the rubber is very tacky, so it's gonna keep those items in the bed from sliding around.

Some of your carpeted bed mats, depending on what kind of items you have back there, they could be sloshing around in the back of our bed there when we're turning. With this rubber here, it's gonna provide a nice tacky surface to keep everything in place. What it also does is it's gonna protect our bed. So not only is it gonna keep the things in our bed in place, it's also gonna protect them. If we're using this as a work truck, we're constantly throwing heavy tools back here.

Eventually you could dent or damage the finish on your metal bed there, and if you damage the finish that could lead to issues with rust. So having this nice protected bed mat here, it's not only going to increase the overall look of your bed, it's also gonna help increase its durability here protecting the metal underneath. So in addition to being rather tacky, we have these little ridges here. So this again just helps keep everything in place. And if you also get it dirty or muddy, you can also get more traction there because all that mud and dirt is gonna go between those ridges there, so you can still walk up here.

And something else great about these rubber truck bed mats here, when you compare it to a carpeted one, is these things are very easy to clean. Let's say you guys haul a lot of dirt, rocks, or any other chemicals, such as paint jugs, you could easily clean this thing out with the end of the day with just a hose and maybe scrub it down a little bit. But aside from that, they are very maintenance free, but easy to clean also at the same time. And then for the environmentally-conscious consumers, you'll be happy to know that this is made out of a 100% recycled rubber material.
