Hello neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our PTC custom fit engine air filter. Now folks, with this custom engine air filter, you can replace your vehicle's existing filter. That's gonna help you improve performance. And it is made of an embossed paper pleat that's gonna protect your engine from debris and also improve air flow. So if I gently kind of move these pleats outta the way, you can kind of see they're just kind of zigzagged up and down many, many times.
And that gives you that flexibility you need, and also lets the air through for doing its job of filtering out harmful dirt, debris, and all that from entering your engine. Now, if this gets clogged up over time, it's gonna restrict airflow, and it's gonna cut down on your engine performance, potentially gas mounts, those kind of things, acceleration, all those things. So very simple maintenance thing you wanna do most times while you're changing your oil, something of that nature. But check your owner's manual for your vehicle to see what they recommend for when and how to replace your engine's air filter. As you can see, it's got a nice silicone gasket.
It's gonna make it strong, and it's gonna seal up between the air filter and the intake box. Now, this is a direct replacement for the EcoGards, the Wix, and the Puro filters. I'll put their item numbers on the screen as a cross reference. Some quick dimensions on this guy, I got about 9 1/2 inches long, and on the other side, I got about 8 3/4 inches long. And as far as an overall thickness, I got about right at two inches.
So again, you want to go off of what the OE Manual recommends as far as part numbers and those things and cross reference them, but hopefully those dimensions will help you as well if you need 'em. And that's gonna wrap it up for a quick look at the engine air filter by PTC Customs. I'm Steven, have a good one.
