Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this PTC custom fit engine air filter. This custom fit filter is going to replace the existing engine air filter in your truck to help per improve its performance. This is designed to fit many 2019 and newer GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2500, and 3500. I would encourage you to use our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com.
You'll select your year, make and model. We'll let you know which products will work for your specific setup, but after you've used that if you've confirmed this is gonna work, it is gonna be very easy to get installed into your engine's air filter housing. It's got the silicone ceiling gasket here that's going to ensure a nice strong seal between the filter and your air intake box. The embossed paper plates here are going to protect your engine from debris, it's gonna help filter out any harmful dirt and debris before it enters your engine. The manufacturer does recommend changing the filter every 12,000 to 18,000 miles or about once a year.
But, the more frequently you change it, the more air is gonna be able to flow through. And of course, air has oxygen and oxygen is essential to combustion, so changing out your filter is going to help improve the performance of your engine, acceleration, and mileage and that sort of thing. So it is a good idea to switch this out pretty frequently and switching it out is very simple to do. If you're at all mechanically inclined, this is definitely one of the easiest things you can do to help take care of your vehicle. And you don't need to be a mechanic, you don't need to pay a mechanic to do it for you, very simple to get this installed in place of the original.
So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
