Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a quick look at the PTC custom fit engine air filter. Now if you're not familiar with what an engine air filter does, basically it is going to filter the air that's coming into your engine, removing any of the potentially harmful dust, dirt, and other particles that could be coming in that could get into your engine and cause issues. So this is an embossed paper pleat filter. It's going to do a good job of collecting all that dirt and debris before it gets to your engine.
As the engine air filter does its job.Obviously those particles are going to start building up. It's going to become very dirty. So it is important to change this out fairly frequently so that you're not getting restricted airflow obviously air is important as the oxygen is an essential component of combustion.So the more you change this out, the cleaner your engine air filter is the better your engine performance can be. So it's important to change this out pretty frequently. If you've never done anything mechanically, keep your vehicle up.
This is one of the more simple things that you can do just takes like a Flathead, screwdriver and other simple tools that you probably already have in your toolbox at home. So definitely don't need to pay a mechanic to do it something very easy that you can do yourself.So, in addition to our embossed paper pleats, we also have the silicone seal here. That's going to make sure that its a nice tight seal in our, filter box so that we're not having to worry about the air escaping around the edges. It's all going to be forced through those paper pleats so that it collects all that dirt and other particles.This manufacturer recommends changing your filter every 12,000 to 15,000 miles. Of course, you can check your owner's manual to see what they recommend for your vehicle, but you can pretty much guarantee that your current filter is rated for about the same.
So it's a good idea to change that out pretty frequently. Now this is a custom fit filter. So it's going to fit many of your newer Toyotas and Lexuses.You can see the list on the screen there. Was wrong filter too big and too thick

Website led me to believe that this would work for my vehicle. That was not the case. CS said I could return it but I would have to pay for shipping costs, and sadly it would cost me more in shipping to return it than the item costed. Double check that this is the right one for your vehicle before purchasing as the website may not accurately direct you to the correct one, as it did for me.
Everything was shipped the day I ordered it. Filters fit like they should. The BW hitch fits great, is heavy duty and will probably be the last one I buy. Great job!

Shipping was extremely fast and of course customer service is absolutely top notch! The filter itself has almost the same color as a Fram filter and the filter material doesn’t look like anything special. It looks like a standard filter though when I start driving it around that will be the true test.
