Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Weigh Safe True Tow Weight Distribution Shank for your two inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, this shank is going to slide into your two inch receiver, and this is going to give you the attachment point for your weight distribution systems head assembly. This is designed for use with your True Tow Hitches with either an 8,500 pound or 12,500 pound gross towing weight. Now, this does have a maximum tongue weight of 1,200 pounds, and a maximum gross towing weight of 12,500 pounds.
And, in this orientation, this is going to give you a maximum drop of about eight inches. When you flip this over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of about eight and a half inches, and then you're gonna get an incremental height adjustment of one and a quarter inches. Now, lemme go ahead and try to give you some overall measurements here. Looking at the overall length, we're pretty close to 11 inches. If you wanted to be technical about it, maybe 10 and seven eighths inches, but rounded up about 11 inches long.
The overall height, pretty close to 12 inches. And then, some measurements that I did not take before our time together, but I'll try to give them to you real quick right now. Measuring from the center of our hitch pin hole to the center of our adjustment holes, on center seven inches. And then, from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, right at three inches. The pinhole diameter, of course, is five eighths of an inch.
This is constructed of high strength steel. So it's sturdy, it's durable, it's got a great finish on it, as well, that I think will hold up very well for you.
