Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the Taylor-Made Snap Fasteners for your fabric boat covers. These are the two pieces for your male end of your snap fastener. These are going to piece together on either side of your boats fabric cover. Basically, you'll just need a hole for that stud piece to poke through and then the snap piece will then fit on top of the cover. You will pinch your cover in between those two pieces and then you'll hammer down that middle stud so that it will combine the two, hold them nice and tight together.
Now you are going to need an installation tool to get that installed. Basically, it's going to help you with that process making sure that everything is going to be installed appropriately so that it will stay together for a nice long time for you. And keep in mind, even though this does have two pieces, this is just the male side.So you will also need a female end to make sure that the two pieces stay together. Now, whether that's a fabric female snap-in like you see on the screen there, or maybe another female end that's on the side of your boat so that your cover snaps to those. It's up to your situation but the snap fasteners are going to be a great way of making a temporary solid connection.
As you're not going to have to worry about having a whole in there that could potentially fray and cause damage to your fabric. So going with snap fasteners is a really easy thing to do, especially with that installation tool.
