Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the replacement legs for the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for the Ram trucks. These have a 32,000 pound weight capacity. Now, these are designed to fit the 2013 and newer RAM 2500 and 3500 trucks with the OEM prep package. These are the replacement legs that fit the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, which we do sell separately on our website. That's the part number RP75VR.
And I did wanna pop up an insert just to show you, there's the complete hitch. As you can see, these legs are there. And these legs are what the center section and the hitch head are all attached to to give you a complete 5th wheel hitch. Now, these legs are a quick, simple installation, it does include the hardware. These legs are what will be inserted into the four receiver pucks that are built into the Ram factory underbed rails.
Now, I did wanna demonstrate, we're gonna zoom in on one of the corners, and I'm gonna show you how these are inserted into the factory receiver pucks. Basically, you can see they have these handles on them. So you'll remove your linchpin. Now, what I'm showing you is for this corner, and it'll be the same on all three other corners, you'll do the same thing. Remove the linchpin, and then what you'll do is rotate this handle a quarter of a turn.
And when you do that, it moves this tab into the open position. So you'll do that on all four corners. And with it like that, it's ready to be dropped into the underbed rails. Drop it into the rails, once these tabs go into the pucks, again, you'll just rotate it back a quarter of a turn, rotates the tab, which locks it into the receiver pucks. Put your linchpin back in, and you're all ready to go.
And as I mentioned, that was just one corner I was showing, you'll do that on all four corners. And then to remove it, it's just the same way, you take out the pin, rotate it quarter of a turn, you'll be able to pull the whole 5th wheel out. Now, the weight capacity again on this is 32,000 pounds. But that's gonna do it for the review on the replacement legs for the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for the Ram trucks.
