Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Derale 3/8-Inch MPT Male by 1/2-Inch Barb Straight Hose Fitting. Now, this is going to thread onto a heat exchanger to allow for a hose attachment. This will fit with a 3/8-inch MPT female cooler core inlet. And then the hose fitting here is a 1/2-inch hose barb.
So, as long as the inner diameter of your hose is 1/2 inch, will work great for you to allow you to put that hose onto that heat exchanger. So that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

Threads into 3/8" NPT, female cooler fitting to attach transmission line.I ordered three items from etrailer; engine oil cooler D15503, brake controller 5535-3040P, and locking tailgate handle. The brake controller installed without a hitch and only minor issues with the tailgate handle. The engine oil cooler modification fought me throughout but some of the problems I caused myself. D15503 was the wrong kit ordered but was such fine quality I decided to keep the kit and order just the correct sandwich adapter D25772. This adapter fit correctly by the 18mm adapter nut did not. A local machine shop retapped this nut to fit on the engine side of the adapter. Additionally, the initial barb hose adapters from the initial kit will not fit within the new sandwich adapter. Once received everything assembled like clockwork. I do not recommend this method to anyone trying in install on a 2012 Toyota Tacoma. I could not have accomplished this installation without the help of Chris J. Please consider me a loyal customer. Thank you.
