GSP offers 4 types of CV axles based on your vehicle and riding habits. The OE+ model is an affordable OEM replacement with neoprene boots. The Heavy Duty (HD) axle has a stronger shaft and TPEE boots that are better than OEM axles. The Xtreem Duty (XD) is 30% stronger than OEM axles and includes a thicker shaft for riding hard and racing. The XD is often used on lifted vehicles. The Xtended axle is a specialty product for those with long travel suspensions. It includes the same quality features of the HD axle but is longer to accomodate different builds.

Hello, neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at a GSP Heavy-Duty CV Axle Assembly, specifically for the front right. Now, folks, this is a custom-fit application for a 2011 through 2020 Can-Am Commander, the 800 or the 1000 Series, so make sure you're double-checking that with our Fit Guide here at etrailer.com to be sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now, if you already have one of these brands, I'll put up a graphic here. These are matching direct replacements for the numbers on the screen and their corresponding manufacturers, so specifically Can-Am would be Part Number 705400952, so this would match up with that. So, use that graph, pause the video if you need to to double-check.
We're gonna keep moving on. What you're gonna get with this, folks, is an upgrade to your ride. It's a Heavy-Duty CV Axle. It's a hardened alloy steel, specifically a 40CR-xC. It is built to resist wear and tear, and again, it fits the front right on that Can-Am Commander.
Now, they use oversized CV joints. They're gonna help you climb rough terrain and crawl obstacles with ease. They're made flexible and tough with a nice TPEE boot to resist tearing and cracking. You got everything here you need for the install right out of the box, including the castle nut and everything. And again, everything's been pre-packed with a nice high-performance moly grease.
Now, as far as some quick measurements, overall, if this was extended out as far as it can go, it'd be 28.86 inches. Compressed back in, you're gonna get 27.24 inches. Now, over here on the inboard, the inside, you're gonna have what's considered a double offset joint, and it has a spline quantity of 21. The outboard over here with the castle nut, it's a standard ball joint style, and the spline quantity is 26. The diameter of the shaft itself is 24.5 millimeters, and they give you a nice one-year warranty from GSP.
