Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2004 to 2014 Ford F150 trucks excluding the 5 1/2 foot bed models. Use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this will work for application. Now, this kit is a complete installation kit. It'll allow you to install a fifth wheel to your truck bed. A kit will include everything shown here on the table. It includes the side custom fit mounting brackets, the base rails, all the hardware you need for installation and even a set of detailed instructions that'll describe how it all goes together.
Now, the custom fit side brackets, I wanna zoom in on and talk about those. These are custom fit brackets. They're designed to mount beneath your truck bed and they provide the attachment points you can see here for the fifth wheel rails to bolt to. They do have a black powder coat finish on to resist corrosion. And we mentioned they're custom fit so they'll provide a custom fit by mounting to the existing holes in your vehicle's frame.
If you notice these brackets have holes in them. It'll line up with the holes in your frame so it minimize the amount of drilling that's required, which in turn will cut the installation time in half when compared with the universal bracket kits. Now the base rails, which are these two right here. These base rails will sit in your truck bed. They allow the installation of the fifth wheel trailer hitch to your vehicle.
The rails are visible in your truck bed. And if you notice on these, they have a nice dark gray finish on 'em to match the color of your fifth wheel hitch.
