Complete 5th wheel hitch setup replaces your 5th wheel camper's pin box with a gooseneck pin box and includes a Ford Turnoverball hitch and 4" offset ball.
This setup gives you the major parts needed to convert a compatible 5th wheel camper to a gooseneck connection and install a B&W Turnoverball hitch in your Ford truck. The replacement pin box fits Lippert 1621, 1621HD, 0719, and Fabex PB 600 Series pin box applications, while the included center section and custom installation kit create the underbed gooseneck hitch. It includes both the standard Turnoverball and a 4" offset ball, giving you a traditional gooseneck connection as well as the option to move the trailer pivot point rearward for extra cab clearance.
Hauling cargo between trips gets old fast when a large fifth wheel hitch takes up your bed. This setup moves the towing point to a gooseneck ball connection and uses the Turnoverball design to keep your bed usable when you are not towing. Remove the ball, flip it upside down, and drop it back into the hitch for storage so the bed stays clear for cargo runs.
Long towing days can send vertical bounce and front-to-back movement through your trailer connection. Dual-axis cushioning absorbs up-and-down and front-to-back movement during travel. SumoSprings suspension helps dampen road shock over rough pavement, keeping motion controlled as the road surface changes.
Hooking up a gooseneck takes careful positioning when the coupler target is small. The large funnel coupler design gives you a wider lead-in area as your trailer settles onto the ball. Once coupled, the easy-reach latch cable releases the coupler from an accessible position.
The included 4" offset ball provides additional space between your truck cab and gooseneck trailer by moving the pivot point rearward. Its square ball base helps keep the ball from turning in the hitch during hookup. A 5/8" thick, spring-loaded steel locking pin passes through the ball to secure it in place, and the handle is accessed at the rear driver-side wheel well for straightforward lock and release.

Hi, I'm Daniel with etrailer and today we're gonna take a look at the B&W Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box with underbed gooseneck trailer kit with your four-inch offset gooseball. This kit will give you everything you need to allow you to use your new pin box on your trailer. It's gonna give you a kit that will install under your bed that gives you a hole where you're gonna put your ball. And this is great for those short bed trucks because it's gonna have a four-inch offset, so the ball is gonna be offset four inches towards the tailgate, meaning your trailer's gonna be four inches away from your truck, giving you more turning clearance, so you don't have to worry about your trailer hitting your cab. The main reason people switch to a gooseneck pin box on their trailer is because they wanna have a gooseneck hitch in their truck. And the reason being is having those big fifth wheels in here are super-heavy to take in and out, so most of the time people leave them in there, and then they don't have their bed.
So with this, it's super-easy to take this out, it's super-light. You can take that out, put a cap on that hole, and then you can use your entire bed back. So if you're at the campsite, you can stack wood in here a lot easier, you can put coolers back here, or whatever you need. The reason why the B&W pin box is really cool is because it has a built-in SumoSpring right here, so it's gonna have dynamic dampening. And what that means is when you hit those bumps, it's going to absorb that shock a lot better, so it's not gonna transfer into your cab, making it really an enjoyable ride when you're on those long trips.
And it also has dampening in this direction, so it's gonna stop your trucking, and just be a lot safer, more enjoyable. Before you purchase this kit, there's a couple of things you wanna keep in mind. You want to make sure you put your year, make, model in our website, make sure you're getting the proper fit kit, because the kit that goes underneath your bed, that's going to be specific to your vehicle. So you wanna make sure you're getting everything that's gonna work properly. And the other thing you wanna look for is your bolt pattern, so you're gonna have a Rhino or a 1621, and you will need to get the proper gooseneck to fit in your bolt pattern.
The best way to determine what you have is to look for a sticker somewhere on your trailer, and it should say it on there. If it doesn't, you can look up a serial number or your year, make, model, and figure it out that way. As far as weight capacities go for your pin box, it's going to be 25,000 pounds total towing, and it's gonna be your trailer plus what's inside of it. That's gonna be for all these kits. As far as pin weight goes, and that's the weight that's pushing down into your bed, there's gonna be two different kits available.
One's gonna be at a rating at 3,250, the other is gonna be at 4,500. You wanna get the kit that is closest to your trailer's pin weight, so you wanna make sure you measure that before you get this kit. And you don't wanna go crazy over because that'll be really uncomfortable, so you just wanna go right over what your pin weight is. As far as your underbed kit goes, those ratings are 30,000 pounds total towing, and the vertical load that's load pushing down on the bed, that's gonna be 7,500. And then lastly, your offset balls, weight capacity is gonna be 20,000 pounds total towing, and the vertical load is gonna be 5,000 pounds. Now I will say you do wanna tow at your lowest rating component. So in this setup, it's gonna be towing at 20,000 pounds with your offset ball, and then your vertical load or your pin weight is gonna be the lowest at 3,250 or that 4,500. You also wanna check your owner's manual of your truck and make sure you're towing what your truck can handle as well. You have adjustability when it comes to your pin box, so you can have this higher or lower. And the sweet spot, you wanna get about six inches between the top of your truck bed to the bottom of your camper, so you don't ever hit this. So usually you can put it where your other one was, but it has increments of one inch between those holes, so you can drop it or lower it, if needed. As far as hooking up to your gooseball, it's really simple, you don't have to exactly be lined up because there's a lot of surface area here. So if you're a little bit off, it'll find its way and slide onto your ball. There's also a latch that's attached to a cable, (latch clicking) you can pull that, now it's ready to go, so you can drop this down. That'll auto-close (latch clicking) right on your ball, so you don't have to get in your bed. Ready to unhook from your trailer, all you have to do is disconnect your safety cables and your breakaway switch as well as your plug, (latch clicking) pull that, and we can start raising up our trailer. (instrument buzzing) Nice aspect with this pin box is the SumoSpring, there's not gonna be maintenance involved with this. Once you get it right out of the box, it's good to go, and you can start using it. Like some of the other ones on the market, their solution is putting an airbag inside of here, and those tend to leak or you have to fill them up quite often, so it's really nice. That's really not necessary for this. The only maintenance you do need to do is gonna be grease up your ball before every trip, and that's gonna be for any of the pin boxes you get. And then every 2,500 miles or so, it is recommended to grease up your joints. So there's gonna to be two grease circs on the top, and there's gonna be three on the bottom. Overall, if you like the B&W brand, then this is gonna be a great kit to get, you keep everything B&W. And it's a great brand, it's super-good quality, I really like working with it. And if you're planning on installing it yourself, everything is a lot easier than some of the other brands out there. I've done a lot of the underbed gooseneck kits, and those just seem to go up a lot nicer. If you have any further questions, because I know all this information can be a lot, if you need just help navigating to what you're gonna need for your setup, please feel free to reach out, I'd be happy to point in the right direction. As far as install goes, all this can be quite daunting, you're gonna need a couple of friends that are pretty strong to help you lift this in place. And the underbed kits can be pretty time-consuming and hard to torque things down. But if you don't have the time or tools or friends to help you, you can check out our installer locator, and we can find an installer local to you to get whatever you need installed. Now that does it, look at the B&W Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box with your underbed kit as well as your offset ball. I'm Daniel, thanks for watching.
