Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Gen Y hitch plate style gooseneck safety chain anchors for the Dodge Ram under-bed gooseneck hitch has a 30,000 pound capacity. Now this is a set of two safety chain anchors that are designed to work with your RAM factory installed under-bed gooseneck trailer hitch. Basically, these anchors are gonna drop into your puck system and allow you to hook your safety chains from your gooseneck to this. And the way they work, first of all, I do wanna show you that these anchors are stamped with or etched with a D on them. Might be hard to see, but that's telling you it's for the Dodge Ram 'cause they do also make a set for the Ford and GM.

It'll have an F on it. That's because the tabs are a little bit different size. But this one is for the Dodge and it'll have the D on it. Basically, these hookups will attach directly to the rearmost power pucks that are built into your gooseneck rails to give you a simple mounting and removal. Basically, what you'll do to install 'em is just remove the linchpin, and that linchpin will release the two and you can see that they slide open.

And what that does is if you look at the bottom, when you rotate it 90 degrees, you can see that that tab will line up. That means you'll be able to drop it into the puck system. Once it drops in there, when you rotate it back that 90 degrees, that's gonna twist and lock them into the under-bed system, and give you a place where you can hook your safety chains too. But you do wanna make sure after you rotate 'em back, line the holes up, take your linchpin, and make sure that linchpin goes all the way through. And then locks into place.

It keeps 'em from opening, and then they'll give you an area that you can put your safety chain hook into. These parts are made in the USA. These specs, again, we mentioned these have a gross towing weight capacity of 30,000 pounds. But one note is you do wanna make sure the capacity will be limited to that of your hitch.
