Erickson Tow Straps and Recovery Straps - EM59801

  • Heavy Duty
  • 4 Inch Wide
  • Reinforced Loops
  • Erickson
  • Nylon

Nylon-reinforced, sewn ends reduce wear and let you quickly and easily attach the strap to tow hooks. Heavy-duty webbing can stretch an additional 10 percent to slingshot out stuck vehicles. 35,000 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Recovery strap works to release stuck vehicles
  • Nylon-reinforced loop ends are long lasting and quick and easy to attach
    • High-tenacity nylon overlay prevents wear on the pull area
  • Heavy-duty webbing stretches additional 10 percent once taut to slingshot out stuck vehicles

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 4" wide x 30' long
  • Webbing strength: rated at 10,000 lbs per inch of width
  • Break strength: 35,000 lbs
  • Maximum vehicle weight: 17,500 lbs

Note: The weight of the stuck vehicle must not exceed the maximum vehicle weight rating of the strap being used.

If your vehicle is stuck in off-road terrain and has lost the traction it needs to escape, this recovery strap will help pull it free. The strap is designed to stretch and recoil. This means that when it is put under tension, the strap stretches until snapping back to its resting length, "slingshotting" the vehicle out of its jam.

This recovery strap has a reinforced loop at either end for securing to the tow vehicle and the recovery vehicle. Once the strap is attached, slowly move the recovery vehicle away from the stuck vehicle. This will initiate the stretch and recoil action and pull the stuck vehicle free.

Video Transcript for Ultimate Overview of the Erickson Recovery Strap w/ Reinforced Loop Ends

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson towing and recovery strap. This is a four inch wide strap. It measures 30 feet in length. It has a 35,000 pound break strength and a 17,500 pound maximum vehicle load limit. Part number on it is EM59801. As you can see, this is a looped end strap. It has a high tenacity, nylon reinforced area here in the pull zone.

That's going to give us increased durability and longer life. The heavy duty webbing also has really nice, heavy duty stitching here in the connection area where that loop is made. That's going to give us good, long lasting durability. The design of it will stretch up to 10% when pulled taught. It's going to give us that extra slingshot or that bounce back effect to really recover those stuck vehicles. The loop ends are designed to connect right on to your tow strap loop or shackle or they can be passed through one another to give us some maximum length and easy connection to our vehicles or our tow strap loops. As you can see, we've got our Jeep stuck so let's go ahead and get our recovery vehicle and get it out of here.

Here at our recovery vehicle, we're just going to take that reinforced end, it's nice and neat and tidy, it's easy to get it into our shackles. Just pull it in there where it gets a nice, firm hold and we'll be ready to get that little Jeep out of the mud. That will complete today's look at the Erickson recovery tow strap with the reinforced loop ends, part number EM59801. .

Great purchase! Bought the 8" x30' 100,000 lbs. recovery strap. It is just as described and arrived in 3 days. I will use it for recovery of large 4wd tractors and combines. Can't beat the price or delivery!

I have bought alot of things from etrailer and have always been happy! Great service and fast shipping.

by:

this fits the bill for my snowmobile, atv, and for just moving around vehicles. Not too sure if I'd use to recover.
But if it's all I had at the time i'd give it a try.

Great responsive shipping! Someone likes their box stapler! :) What's in the box is what you're going to get!

Thanks Guys & Gal's,
Vince V

Works great! I bought it mostly for a recovery strap for my dually, but used it for the semi more. My only caution would be that it is designed for a bunch of weight. It doesn't stretch much at all for the dually, but worked just right for the semi. Thank you

I used mine two or three times in rough country and woods,
Strap was fraying after 1st use.
To be fair, it held, but I was surprised it was coming apart.
Used it two more times, then tossed it.
For my needs it was not acceptable.
As emergency one time strap, it will work.
I would not buy again.

Tow strap works well. It folds/rolls up nice and stores well in a tool box so we can have it with us if needed.

by:

I ordered the Erickson Tow Strap, MaxxTow tow strap loop, and the pin and clip to carry in my new to me 4Runner in case I need to assist or need assistance while off road wheeling.
Delivery was quick and packaging was good.
If I ever need to use these items I'll post my feedback.

Good price, heavy duty. etrailer shipped it out quick and they have great customer service. Every product I have bought through etrailer has been high quality.

by:

I haven't used it yet. Purchased it as an ad on item to get free shipping...it is a bit pricy, but so far all the items I have purchased from etrailer have been worth it

Hello at E.Trailer, Earlier today I received my order of 2 Erickson 3x30,27.000 recovery straps and was very impressed by their quality of the material and I also received as part of the same order 2 Maxtow 10.000 tow rings which also appeared of very good quality for the price. I will be using these items once the upstate NY snow melts.
The staff was very helpful on the phone in arranging the selection of the items and setting up the order. I will be a regular purchaser of E.Trailer products whenever in need of other towing equipment.
That's it for now, have a great day !

It's nice to be able to help out friends that are stuck or broken down, this does the job no problem. I've had other larger tow straps come apart on me, not this one, very tough. etrailer is so easy to deal with, communication is excellent.

by:

Most reasonably priced strap with this capacity I've found. We use them to pull out semi trucks with CAT 980 loaders when they get stuck in our plant. They are susceptible to fraying if hooked up to sharp corners, so a couple of 1" shackles would also be a good investment.

by:

A stout tow strap. I bought it so i would stop breaking tow straps with trucks. Like all the other ones i had, id always up ripping them. Thats why i went with this beast. Have not broke this one at all and ive yanked out some stuck trucks in mud and snow. awesome strap for a good price!

by:

I purchased these straps for our equipment (dozer , Excavator) for when we happen to get stuck. The strap does good as far as the weight..... BUT..... The material has frayed too easy and we are watching them closely as far as pulling them out of service. Be sure to keep the strap in a storage bag and keep it as clean as possible.

by:

The smoke vent covers make my black trailer look much more complete compared to the white ones it came with.
The heavy duty coupler lock is a pretty quality piece, and the recovery strap looks and feels quality. Haven't used it yet but all the webbing and stitches are of very good quality.

by:

Everything was great accept for the package that package that the strap came in. Looks as though someone when they opened the case hit the package with a box knife and cut the plastic. Not a big deal cause I used duct tape and repaired it. Looks to be made very well and should withstand anything you would want to use it for!!!

by:

My last tow rope snapped so I bought this. I had used it many times and probably gonna need to again. Everyone should have one of these, especially the truck drivers that are always being asked to pull someone out of the snow. It's got the 18,000 lb limit so I'm sure that it'll work fine when the time comes. Best price for that kind of poundage I could find.

by:

I purchased this to get my free shipping. cost me about $$ in the end. comes in a see through plastic holder.

by:

I live in California. Guess what-no snow! Doesn't look like I'll be using tire chains or recovery strap this year. I will say that I'm very happy with etrailer's service and prompt delivery. The chains come in a nice carrying case that fits underneath the rear seat cushion of my 2017 Ram 1500 Crew Cab. The recovery strap fits inside floor compartment. Easy access if I ever do need them.

by:

This strap comes with it's own storage case which will keep it clean and makes packing it in your vehicle a snap. I plan on keeping one in my truck and another in my ATV. Another quality product from etrailer!

by:

Product is great, E-trailer is Excellent to work with.

by:

Product description on website was accurate. I have not used it (and hope not so, like insurance), but nice to know I have it in case of an emergency.

by:

Erickson Recovery straps are among the best out there. That's why we chose them to send over to Haiti for use by our missionaries on the ground. etrailer.com did a great job of getting this order fulfilled and to our door quickly. THANKS!

by:

This is one substantial Tow Strap, I cant even believe how much it weighs. I plan to use it as a sling to jack up one end of a shed that sunk in the ground from being overweight and then I'll keep it in the back of my Duly in case any 18 wheelers need a tow. LOL

by:

I needed a heavy duty tow strap and couldn't find what I wanted locally. As always, etrailer came through. Just what I was looking for at a great price. I haven't needed it yet, but when I do, it will be in my tool box ready to go.

  • Erickson Recovery Tow Strap # EM59801 Recommendation for Towing a Silverado 2500 Diesel
The strongest recovery strap is our Erickson Recovery Tow Strap # EM59801. This strap has a break strength of 35,000 lbs and can be used on vehicles that weigh up 17,500 lbs. I would recommend you put two Erickson Bolt-On Tow Hook with Keeper # EM59505 on the front of your 2500 Silverado and then run one end of the # TR63046 through the loop on the other end of the strap so that you have a slip knot that you could put around both of the tow hooks to spread the weight of towing your vehicle...
