5th Wheel Installation Kit for a Reese Hitch in a 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

I am trying to install a Reese 5 wheel hitch and rails that came with a trailer I purchased. My truck is a 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended cab with a 66inch bed. The Reese part numbers on the hitch itself are 30032, 30038, 30728. Not sure why there are 3 numbers on it? The hitch and rails came out of the same make, year, bed size truck I am installing it in. The frame brackets are with the rails. What is missing are the bolts for the rails. Can just a bolt kit be purchased? Is there a custom install kit available so the rail brackets will directly bolt onto onto the frame with out drilling? Also were do i find out a drawing on were exactly the rails get installed in the box? So with all this being said I have four questions. Why are there 3 part #s on the hitch? Can a bolt kit be purchased for the rails and frame brackets? Is there a custom kit for the frame brackets on the rails? Is there a diagram/ formula as to were the rails get bolted to in the bed of the truck? Please let me know if any other details are needed. Thank You in advance, Mickey Scanlon

The three part numbers represent different portions of the hitch itself. Those numbers are pretty old so it's hard to say exactly what represents what, but most likely they represent the three different brands that hitch was sold under. Reese, Pro-Series, and Draw-Tite.

For a bolt kit that would attach your 10 bolt rails to the brackets under the bed you would want the Replacement Hardware Kit part # RP58430.

For a custom bracket kit that would minimize drilling into your 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 you would want the Reese Quick Install Bracket kit part # RP50064.

The front rail will sit 47-1/2 inches from the rear edge of the truck. The rear rail will sit 22 inches measured on center from the front rail. See page 9 of the installation instructions I attached.
