Does MORryde GooseTech have More or Less Drop Than Other Pin Boxes

Question:

Looking to replace my Pin box on my 5th wheel. I have a alliance 23lm with a RhinoCurt Roto-Flex. 5th wheel GVWR is 10,500lb. I believe the item is RGN74-FD-03. Is there a diagram about the length of the drop. I have read there are different heights of the ball. I was hoping to buy both and not have to return the ball.

Hey Jack, all of the fifth wheel pin box to gooseneck adapters like the MORryde Goosetech part # MR64MV all have right at the same dimensions from the gooseneck coupler to where it attaches to the trailer. There isn't one that offers more or less drop than the other. The height is adjustable still though by using different mounting holes on the trailer frame. You can mount the Goosetech up higher in the brackets to to have a lower overall height or the opposite for more height.

The part # MR64MV is the correct Goosetech for you since you have a Rhino Box pin box currently. Worth mentioning is that we've heard feedback that the Goosetech provides the smoothest ride quality.

Can you share the drop from the bottom bolts, top of gooseteck hitch, or any similar landmark? I have my present hitch as far up into the camper as possible. It is still a little high for the trailer. Thanks
