Question:

I have a Roadwarrior 429. I would be replacing the Lippert pin box model LIPP1621 SHD, and was wondering the overall spec, dimensions height, length, etc. I have a lifted truck and currently running the Anderson Ultimate Hitch and need to make sure the ride height and position of trailer before buying. Also would I need the shims?

The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Lippert 1621/1621 HD - Auto Latch - 25K # GY66FR you were looking at is a confirmed replacement for your Lippert 1621 HD pin box and will not require any shims.

The # GY66FR has the same height adjustments as your current pin box, but will be roughly 2" shorter overall than your current pin box so depending on the bed length of your truck you may have cab to trailer clearance issues if not using an offset gooseneck ball. I included a diagram that goes over the exact dimensions of the # GY66FR for you to take a look and, and use these dimensions to determine if you will have a level trailer with your setup.

The trailer weight rating is right at 25000lbs, and it has a 5500lb pin weight rating which would be perfect for your trailer.
