Question:

Viking Solutions Rack Jack II Hoist w/ Winch - 2inch Hitch Mount - Steel - 300 lbs Part Number: 310-VRJ001 It looks like the Hoist can be extended by using a longer arm from the winch to the angle arm by using a standard extension. I need to lift a 117 roof air conditioner to the roof of my motorhome. My roof is 8’ above my hitch mount, so i would need another 2 or 3 feet. Does that look doable? And if so do you have a extension?

The Viking Solutions Rack Jack II Hoist, part # 310-VRJ001, unfortunately doesn’t have an optional extension or longer arm available. Adding any type of extension would make the hoist unstable, so I wouldn’t recommend modifying it or adding anything to increase its reach.

I also checked to see if we carry any other hoists that might work for lifting your AC unit onto the roof of your RV, but we don’t have anything that would safely meet the height or stability you’re looking for.

Hey Don, were you able to find another way to lift your roof air conditioner since the Rack Jack II couldn’t be extended safely? Knowing what solution worked could help others trying to reach that extra height with their RV setup.
