Can Hitch be Added to Rear of Utility Trailer
Updated 12/08/2025 | Published 11/17/2025 >
Question:
I have a 5 x 10 Utility Trailer with a wood floor and a metal gate/ramp. I was curious if there is a product that would allow me to add a 2 inch receiver on the back of the trailer to mount my Kuat NV Base plus two bike rack. It holds up to four bikes but I usually only carry 3 bikes. The picture underneath the trailer shows the rear underneath.

Hey Brian, you could weld a hitch opening to the bottom of your trailer frame like with the Combo Bar part # E-9. This would give you a hitch opening that you could use with your bike rack.
