Thule Bike Rack Fit and Comparison for a 2010 Subaru Outback
Question:
Will this rack fit my car? I find conflicting information about this on your website. Having never transported a bike on a rack before Id like to be clear about this before I purchase one. Also is the OutWay bike rack really worth over twice as much?

Yes, the Thule Passage 2-Bike Rack, # TH9009XT, will fit your 2010 Subaru Outback Wagon. I have attached a review video of this bike rack on an Outback for you to check out.
The Passage is Thule's economy bike rack with fewer options than their higher end models such as the OutWay # TH45JV. This doesn't mean that it is a low quality bike rack. Thule makes excellent bike racks and this particular rack just lacks certain of higher end models. The main features of the Passage are the 6 nylon straps to secure the bike rack to the vehicle and the anti-sway cradles to keep the bikes from moving while driving.
The OutWay could be considered the Cadillac of bike racks and well worth the price. There is no other bike rack like it. This rack has the same features as the Passage, but it uses only 2 rubber coated straps instead of the 4-6 of other racks, adjustable arms to accommodate several different bike frame sizes, and includes locks to secure the bike rack to the car and the bikes to the bike rack. I have attached a review video for you to check out.
Some bikes with alternative style frames or very small children's bike frames can be difficult to load onto any bike rack. For these types of bikes, I recommend using a bike adapter bar like part # UB01 to load the bikes easily and safely. I have attached a video for the adapter bar too.
