Question:
i have a 2018 4runner TRD Pro, im trying to come up with a roof rack solution for 3 kayaks.... im looking at the malone aero2 rack 58, im thinking mount two j-hooks on the OUTSIDE of the rack on the overhang on both sides..... so 2 kayaks on the outside j-hooks and 1 flat in the middle... ideas?

Hey Jason, a longer crossbar roof rack like the Malone part # MPG216 that you referenced would be the way to go for carrying 3 kayaks on the roof of your 2018 Toyota 4Runner. Since crossbar space will still be a bit of a premium I think I would go with all J-style kayak carriers like the etrailer part # e98878 since that would save bar space. This is a folding carrier which means you could fold down the rack flat so that you could get your kayak over the outside edge carrier and set it on the middle carrier.
