Question:
Looking to put an electric winch on my Jet Dock for a 22 foot Pathfinder. I see the Dutton-Lainson TW4000 StrongArm Electric Winch - Marine - 1,500 lbs Part Number: DL25200 looks popular. The pictures indicate for power you hook it up to a battery. I have a 110 outlet near my jetdock. Can it operate on AC power?

Hello David, thanks for reaching out. The Dutton-Lainson # DL25200 is powered by 12v DC. This will be true for all of the other powered winches we offer. The only way to use one with 110v DC would be to use a converter and I am not sure how practical that would be for a dock application. The best way to power the winch is with a 12v battery.
Another potential solution here is to use a manual winch like the Dutton-Lainson # DL15721, along with the Drill Drive Socket Adapter # DL6456 which will allow you to operate the winch with a cordless drill.
