I have a 2023 ford expedition 285/45/22. What is best and easiest set of chains to buy?

Hi Steve,

For a 285/45R22 tire size the Konig K-Summit Tire Chains # KON24FR would be the best option but would likely take just a bit longer to install the first time around since there are adjustments that will need to be made to get a perfect fit on your tires. The other option would be the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains # TC2327, which are super easy to install after practicing a few times.

The # KON24FR has chains the full length of the treads whereas the # TC2327 has a few gaps in the chain where you'd be able to notice the bump from the tire coming back into contact with the road and then going back to the chain. The # KON24FR is self tensioning so it'll automatically tightens up as you drive. The # TC2327 has a tensioner built into that you can tighten, drive forward a bit, and then retighten to snug the chains down to the tires.

Both will do a great job, but if you're looking for ease of use and wanting a high quality that won't scratch up the wheels the # KON24FR is going to be the best option. I've attached a couple of videos below so you can see how both of these options installs.
