Is The Lippert Telescoping Ladder Receiver Bracket Sold Separately
Updated 03/28/2026 | Published 10/06/2024 >
Question:
I was going to purchase the Lippert Telescoping ladder, and it says compatible with the Lippert ladder support which appears to be an accessory that mounts on the upper area of the rv and the ladder attaches to it. Where do you get this item. Is this something I can purchase and install on my RV. This makes no sense... Please help me to understand. Thanks

Hey Dennis,
The bracket the mounts to the trailer wall would need to be installed at the factory and unfortunately isn't an option aftermarket. These are relatively new so I'm assuming after enough people complain to Lippert they'll start offering them separately. You can still use the ladder # LC64HD even if you don't have this bracket, you'll just want to make sure the ladder is tall enough to extend past the roof and maybe have an extra person holding the ladder to ensure it doesn't fall over.
I've used a few different versions of these style ladders and have typically not had any issues without the bracket, whether I was on solid ground or gravel.

Hey Dennis, how did things go using the Lippert telescoping ladder without the factory bracket? It’d be great to hear if it felt stable and easy to handle on your RV. Your update could make it easier for others considering the same setup.
