How to Increase Tandem Axle Lance 2075 Trailer Height

Question:

Looking at a Lance 2075 currently do not own This unit has tandem 3500lb axles on leaf spring with a MorRyde equalizer. Also, the straight axles are on top of the springs. It sits nearly as low as Airstreams and I want to get more clearance to get further from civilization. Is there anyway to get an estimate as to whether or not this system will garner more clearance than the existing spring under axle setup? If so, approximately how much looking for 3” or more to fit larger 235 tires. Thanks

Hey John, thanks for reaching out!

The best way to determine if the Timbren Silent Ride Suspension # TSR7000T05 will give you more clearance is to reference the linked dimensional photo. The center of your axles should sit around 6-3/8" below your trailer frame according to this photo. If that's more than what you currently have, this will give you a lift!

Another thing that can work is to flip your axles with the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00. This moves your axle from sitting above your leaf springs to below your leaf springs so you'll gain height equal to the height of your leaf spring stack. You'll need one of these kits per axle if you decide to go this route.
