Question:
Im interested in upgrading my Carry-On 4x6T 2K utility trailer tires with the 15inch Kenda radials on etrailer so it can keep up with my vehicle on multi-day long highway trips. Any considerations around axle or bearings or hub etc? Besides dealing with the fender space, it seems like a simple swap and I can drive 80mph all day.

Hey Matt, it certainly may be possible to upgrade the tires on your utility trailer. Space limitations are the main thing to consider though. Our rule is that you want at least 3" between the tire and the wheel well/fender, and you want at least 1" between the inside of the tire and the frame of the trailer.
Aside from that we would want to make sure the hub bolt pattern is also a 5 on 4-1/2". We would also want to make sure the hubs you are using are made to support a 15" wheel. I am not sure what size tires you are using currently and knowing that would help me get into a bit more detail. Generally, any hub that will support a 13" wheel can also support a 15" wheel. So provided you have room in the fender area, and your hubs are compatible with the 15" wheel and 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern you can upgrade to the # AM32424 with no problem. This tire has an 81-mph speed rating, so it is definitely suited for long highway trips.

Thanks Jesse! Yeah its a 5-4.5 hub and I'm currently running 175/80/D13s with about 2" of frame clearance. The 13's have a 3" hub cutout. So i think these will probably work as long as there's enough frame clearance. I'll have to cut off the fenders and attach some new ones.
