I have a thule cascade with quick mount hardwareQM3... Can I replace it with quick grip universal mounting hardware?

To use hardware other than what your Thule Cascade box requires you would have to modify the cargo box. Generally this is not recommended because doing so can compromise the structural integrity of the cargo box and make it unsafe for use. It will also void the warranty of the box.
If you decide to give it a try you would need 4 Quick Grip mounts, # TH05738, and 4 cradles, # TH8523387001.
