Question:

We have a 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan with the OEM 1.25 inch We need a higher tongue weight for our trailer. Will this hitch fit through the opening the same way? If not, do you have another hitch that would work for what we need? Our tongue weight is around 200lbs. Thanks!

I have one that does but the Hidden Hitch item # DT62GR will not. It will come out behind the bumper and hang significantly lower then your factory receiver. Instead, I recommend the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch item # 306-X7395. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan with included hardware.

The EcoHitch item # 306-X7395 is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight so it'll be a solid upgrade from your factory hitch. It also has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity.

I have attached a couple of pictures along with an installation video so you can see what this hitch will look like when installed.

If you ever plan on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56403 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
