Trailer Tire Replacement Solution for Tire Size 6.25-6.50-16
Published 10/09/2023 >
Question:
I have a REALLY old trailer, it’s fairly small, like 4x6 or 8. It needs new tires. The current tires are 6.25-6.50-16. Are there any other tires I can switch these out with? I am not super knowledgeable about tires.

The 6.50x16 is an older tire size that's not really available anymore but when mounted has a height/diameter of just under 30 inches (29.90 inches to be exact).
The closest modern size equivalent we have to this in terms of height and width is a ST235/85R16 tire like the Provider # TTWPRG235R16, which has a height/diameter of 31.73 inches and a width of 9.25 inches. It fits onto 16 inch x 6 inch wheels like what you most likely have now.
