How Should Electric Trailer Brake Assemblies Be Oriented for Installation

Question:
After I installed the axel I noticed that one axel had the looking tab on one side and the other axel had the looking tab on the other side and the brak wire whole was on deferont sides place tell me witch one is right I thank that that the brak wire should come out the back to kep watter out of the axel but I dont have brakes on it yet some one stoled my old axel e for I had a chance to get the brakes off of them or that would tell me witch way they would go

When installing electric brakes, like the 12" Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-6, you want the magnet to be on the bottom of the assembly (see attached). Aside from that the brakes should be labeled as to what side of the trailer they're supposed to be mounted on (right and left).
