Is There a Difference Between 2057 and 1157 Bulb for Trailer Wiring

Question:
This tail light but unit came with a 2057 Bulb. Stamped on the plastic near the bulb it says to replace with an 1157 Bulb. Should I even use the 2057?

The 2057 and 1157 bulbs are interchangeable with the difference being the brightness. The 1157 is just slightly brighter than the 2057. For a replacement 1157 we have the # A1157B which would work great and would be your best option.
