Is There Delay Between Camera and Monitor of Furrion Vision S Observation Systems

Updated 09/04/2024 | Published 08/29/2022

Question:

We are considering a back up camera system for our prewirred 2016 Pinnacle. Another camper told us his system has a delay from camera to screen. Does your camera have this also?

The Furrion Vision S systems like the 5 inch display version part # FOS05TASF does not have a noticeable delay between the camera and the monitor. It hasn't ever been mentioned as an issue with our customers who have tried it and my parents have the same setup on their RV and they haven't mentioned it either.

We have the Furrion Vision S system and are experiencing a significant delay when going down the road upwards of 4-6 seconds. Antenna on camera is pointed straight up as is the antenna on the monitor.

@JonathanS How far of a distance is it between camera and monitor? Anything odd that is obstructing signal between the two?

@JamesonC We have a 35ft Grand Design 5th wheel and I tow with a 2022 Chevy Crew Cab Dually. Not aware of anything "odd" that would obstruct the signal. The picture on the monitor is super crisp and clear but it is just delayed by at least 4-6 seconds or more as we're going down the road.

@JonathanS Has it always been like this or has it changed? If you plug the camera in right at the monitor harness does delay go away?
