What is a 6o Error Code For Draw-Tite Activator IV Trailer Brake Controller # 5504

Question:

This is an intermittent problem. When I apply the brake the control starts its count up from 0 to 2.5 or 3 and then gives me and error code 6o. This isnt listed in the book. If I manually slide the lever I dont get the code as much but I still do sometimes. What does the error code 6o mean?

My technical contact at Draw-Tite states that the 6o code that you are receiving from your Draw-Tite Activator IV Brake Controller # 5504 indicates that you have a sync issue. The sync control adjusts the trailer brake aggressiveness.

Because your sync setting is not adjusted properly your brake controller is over braking which is creating the error code.

He suggests you refer to the installation instructions and reset your controller from scratch.
