Can Pace Edwards Beclocker Rails Be Cut Shorter to Fit 2021 GMC Sierra 3500 With Toolbox

Question:

I have an 8foot bed with a toolbox up near the cab. I currently have the Access roll-up toolbox edition tonneau cover to cover the open portion of the bed behind the toolbox. I recently ran into a neighbor at a campground who had one of these electric covers on his truck, and after looking at the tracks it seemed like it should be possible to mount it in the bed right up against the toolbox and then cut the tracks short to fit, since theres an adjustable pin to mark where the cover should stop opening. Would this work?

I reached out to Pace Edwards and found that it is possible to cut the rails shorter on the Pace Edwards Bedlocker Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover - Electric - Aluminum - Black # PE44CV. This would allow the cover to fit along with your toolbox on your 2021 GMC Sierra 3500. The one thing to keep in mind should you choose to do this is that the warranty will no longer be valid if you cut the rails.
