Are Interchangeable Hitch Balls Legal

Question:
Hi there! I use to have a CONVERT-A-BALL years ago, but then was told they had become illegal to run. What do you guys know about this? I am in NH and no one seems to know the answer.

I am not sure where you heard that interchangeable hitch balls like the Convert-a-Ball part # 902B are illegal but there are no laws out there that would indicate this.
